****************** was informed by a letter in JULY that ******** security was bought by ADT. NO prior notice was sent to my home and I was three months ahead on payments to ******** Sec. Now I get a invoice saying I owe ***** to ADT. I immediately purchase another ************* in July and The bills keep coming. I have nothing to do with ******** bookkeeping errors but I have all my receipts for payment and know I don't owe ADT nor ******************* bill doubled when they supposedly bought ******** company. This has to be the worse alarm company created. From the beginning it was an issue, starting the sale of the equipment, pricing of the equipment and installation. They're not really upfront with costs or expectations of payments. I feel as though this was done intentionally. Now, I'm locked into a contract with a ************ company. Had I known all the details at first, I never would have signed up. Do NOT get ADT, they're worse than the cable company.

I had never in my life experienced such unbusinesslike handling of customers requests like with ADT SECURITY SYSTEMS. I am hearing impaired unable to make phone calls, not too familiar with the computer and unable to contact a responsible representative of ADT SECURITY SYSTEMS by email or text, to solve a problem dating back to FEBRUARY 2022 I had with this company and their Alarm System. To get ahold of someone takes 40 minutes plus. They put you through several customer service reps and after waiting for 40 minutes, I got someone who put me through another wait. This is been happening for the last 4 Days. I sold my house and could not cancel my service because of the expensive fees,I was suggested to transfer my service to my daughter who has a service with ADT but without a contract (more than 3 years with it) and nothing was explained to her or to me. 1 Star - UGH! ****************** had a virtual appointment to set-up new equipment and they cancelled the appointment. Then customer Chat online couldn't even figure out what new equipment I had. Not To mention they have given me the work around so much with one of my camera's not working that I had forgotten about it until no. Really $65.00 a month what happens if something really happens. So much for feeling SAFE!

I wish I can give zero stars. I also wish I wouldve went on here prior to Calling ADT. Shame on me for not doing my research. Dont be fooled by the brand name. You are just a number. They make you feel warm and fuzzy with their sales team but once youre in, watch out! Avoid at all costs you will wind up paying more than what you agree to. Their installers are unprofessional they talk on the phone while theyre installing your service and they have you sign things and not explain what you were signing. In November of 2021, ADT installed a burglar alarm system in our ***********, ** home. Ten months later there is a problem and ADT wants to charge us to come here to attempt to repair the problem. The system is less than a year old and ADT wants to charge us. We will cancel ADT.

I have been a customer of *********************** for years. I relocated from ******** to ********* in April of this year and transferred my service from my home in ******** to my home in *********. After we moved, we were charged by ADT $389.25 for terminating our account. I started calling in June to get our money refunded. I was told on August 19th that ADT was going to send a check. My family was promised for a free service from adt to come out to see if our camera wires could be moved inside our house, the guy came out and looked but not touch and didn't even open his bag or tools and said it was standard procedure how the wires were done they look good to him just from a glance and said it couldn't be done and left so I checked my email, not only did he charge us for an installation of nothing but he lied and said our cameras were 3 years old and that's a lie they're not even two years old yet and he ... read more
