Trying to cancel my service, been on hold for over 45 minutes. Once they found out I wanted to cancel they transferred me and here I am.
My wife and I arrived home after our hurricane evacuation to find our ADT alarm system malfunctioning, making a loud alarm whenever a door was opened and making a separate beeping noise constantly. The home's previous owners had installed the system and had deactivated it when they moved out. OMG!!!! What a group of clowns!! I could sit here and tell you my whole story but you have better things to do!!! Go ahead and read some of the others if you want.......just avoid this company!!They are pathetic in every catagory: sales; set-up; assistance; customer service center; refunds; all the way through the company!! Go online and read reviews.......
Worst customer service ever! Waiting for 20 minutes on a call that you are asked to push a number to get you to the correct person and then being told by that correct person that they will get you to the correct person and having to wait ANOTHER 20 minutes is extremely poor customer service. Then when you cancel a contract you are NOT informed that you will be charged your balance within 24 hours of cancellation is even worse customer service! I've had the ADT system installed for eight years. After sending a cancellation letter to ADT, I was continually charged for the service. I called to cancel the service and spent over an hour on hold and redirected to several individuals. It was rather obvious if I spent that much time on hold with the cancelation department, apparently there were a lot of people on hold in front of me canceling their service. Horrible business do not get their system They put the wrong person on my system over charge cameras arent up to par and when you try to cancel they give you the run around took me 3 hrs jus to cancel and not to mention had a attitude the whole time
I wish I read these complaints before I sign up with the ADT on Aug 27. I have problems with ADT since day one. I gave times to fixe the problems until today September 27, a month latter the problems are still not resolved.The video cameras do not work properly. The cameras either turn off and/or idle due to no battery (batteries dont charge.) I just found out the cameras are old/used. I called and I was put on hold for more the 30 minutes. Long time customer of *** and have not been pleased with their service for some time. Now trying to cancel my account and they make it extraordinarily difficult. Cannot be done online, phone number that they give you to call disconnects on you when you call, and when you call into the main line, they transfer you to another line to cancel with wait times of over 30+ minutes.
