The absolute worst customer service when there is a technical issue. All told today, spent almost 2 hours on the phone, three-fourths of that time on hold between service representatives while we pushed buttons, unplugged things, etc. based on their direction and had to do the same things over and over again. Also, even though we pay a maintenance fee, we have to pay a trip fee of around $60 to have a technician sent to our home.

I purchased a home security system from ADT to warn us if an intruder entered our home. We are old and need a loud alarm to warn us of danger but the system only beeps. I have tried several times to contact someone about our problem but only got voice recording. Only after getting a threatening letter from a collecting agency was I able to speak with a real person advising them of our problem but no one seems to want to do anything about it. We had ADT in our home for many years. After 1 - 1.5 years and having small children in the home the panic button accidentally got pushed and nothing happened, no call and no response from anyone. I found it odd so I pushed the panic button again and let it go for a few minutes. Still no call no show of authority. I called ADT and they had not been monitoring out home for over 2 years they said due to a phone line issue. If they monitor your home and see a line issue they should reach out and let us know. I wish I had known...Please read other recent reviews which mirror my experience. One new wrinkle; ADT says it takes 30 days to cancel my service and I will have to continue paying for monitoring on a system that is totally dead (and for which they could not give me a date for a technician to fix the problem). I have paid ADT monthly since 2015 without one late payment...

I had been calling for someone to fix my bellring and a camara next day some one came to my home took a picture and left saying some was going to calleme I had to call and nobody know what to do. During my call they just transfer to one person to another

ADT is horrible. **************** has declined over the years. They sent a tech out to change my battery on May 13, 2022, the tech made an error that caused the alarm to go off over 50 times one day. While on the phone with ADT, another ADT rep called the police which dispatched 4 officers to my home and wasted resources for their mistake. They apologized and promised a credit which I did not receive. Today I received another False Alarm notice for June 29th. We had the worst experience with ADT.I am a ******* veteran and believewe are being taken advantage of byADT.When we signed up for the service, I was toldby the salesman that if I pay $***** maintenance fee monthly, anything that goes wrong with my systemwill be taken care of for free.After installing the 4 cameras in our home, each camera goes offline for days at a time, then I contacted ADT, they sent someone to check on it and the guy says they will come and change the nvr box the followingweek.Then the guy came and chang... read more

ADTs customer service is beyond horrible. I spent 3 hrs on two different instances trying to resolve a very simple problem. They seem to have to go through a playbook, not matter how obvious their own solution is. Then the Technician lied about keeping an appointment at my home, and the last on line person, after 1 1/2 hrs hung up on me.

I paid off all the equipment and was told on a recorded line it would be a ****** cancellation fee, that number went up to ******* and they never updated my address on file so I never got the **** in the mail, worst comp ever,
