Their customer service is horrendous and they scam you into a contract without giving you a full understanding of the details. I signed up and was told I had 6 months to cancel if I didnt like the services. I was informed that if I go more than 6 months, I just have to pay up to 75% of the amount owed on equipment. Both of these were a lie. They dont let you cancel unless you have a system problem that is unrepairable. They also charge 75% of the monitoring amount and equipment amount. One of the worst companies Ive ever dealt with in regards to customer service. They charge a trip fee, aka service fee, for something that was wrong on their end with installation from the beginning. Siren was not loud at all. They insinuated that my hearing was bad. My doctor says my hearing is fine. They do suggest that I can buy a siren with a volume to MY likingas though I am deaf. Agreed with the reviews - Worst customer service ever and don't even deserve one star. I called to cancel in July and they convinced me to stay and told me they would lower the rates. They didn't lower the monthly rate when I got the bill in October; I tried to do online chat and they told me they don't handle cancellation online. What a deal with the devil! Never again. Steer clear unless you enjoy cold legalism, lopsided contracts designed to take advantage of you, inadequate hardware and software, and a cancellation process that will give you hypertension. Hate to pull this card, but Im an active duty service member, and I do not appreciate the way ADT treated me and my family.

I called into ADT now that my 3 year contract is up. I requested to get updated monthly pricing, for existing customers, or if they had any deals for existing customers. I also asked about getting a new key pad, as we have had to call in multiple times for our old key pad disconnecting all the time and beeping through out the night. I was charged for 8 months consistently even though the Revamped Sub-Contracted Provider for ADT gave me the run around about the second camera I was quoted on in my signed quote for 8 months! I never got my second camera till after 8 months. Mind you, the current installed camera stopped working 3 months ago. And it took less than half an hour to resolve my matter in-person (installing the second camera), but this company dragged my process for NEARLY AN ENTIRE YEAR for no reason!! I have been trying to reach ADT to have my subscription with them CANCELLED, all in vain. Their **************** line if your lucky to get their "specialist", will put you on HOLD forever. I last spoke to a specialist called ************** who asked me to call ***** then press 6. This prompt put me on hold for over 45 minutes.In the meantime I've gone ahead to switch off their faulty gadget since 10/12/2022 but they still BILL my account $53.99 monthly for NO service.
