I would never recommend this company to anyone. They bought out the security company I was using and upgraded my equipment. 2 years later I sold my home. They have a 30 day cancellation period, which is crazy. I was told I need to pay for the upgraded equipment that they installed. Basically, an Ipad that connected all the devices that I already had in place. I received a bill for $924.62 to cover the period from my last payment to the 30 day period and for the equipment. I was on the phone at different times at least 45 minutes. Then when they answer, they hang up on you. Ill never come back nor refer anyone. ****** was the account specialist who tried & not sure why she couldnt cancel for ******** phone kept handing up on me.

Called 3 times in one day, to cancel my service. No one answered phone calls, and one call had me on hold for 25 MIN, then was auto disconnected presumably because of excess hold time. I reached out to online chat, and after 15 min of chat ******* says to call account management for cancellation. I told him i called 3 times already to excessive hold times, and why cant they just cancel my service, since their is no signal coming from my home as is? I have already changed service provider. I should have listened to the bad reviews. Now I will be charged $135.00 for the first thirty minutes that the technician is on site with an additional charge of $34.00 for every additional 15 minutes in addition to the $59.00 trip fee. All this because their cameras kept going out and one of their sensors went off causing a false alarm. Our internet repair guy suggested getting a new router, which I did. I would give a zero for ADT if I could. I can't even get a technician to my house. And after reading the comments below, it is a God-sent message to me that I should not sign up with them. I have scheduled TWO appointments with them for a consultation and both were no shows. Although after calling the second time and talking to the tech for my area, I wasn't even on their schedule for the second appointment! Worst customer service experience ever. I have had them for almost 2 years and the service is awful. It barely works. Now they want to charge me to cancel because they said I renewed the services when I ask for proof they told me its all verbally. I asked for a recording and they said they dont have one. I spoke with ******* ****** he said he would give me a $25 credit but then tried to fully cancel the account. I asked for a manager and he told me there was no one higher up.

ADT is a scam.Ive made another complaint prior with no resolution. But this one is directly aimed at the corporate office. First, my husband receives a call from someone at the corporate office. He calls me since hes at work and asks me to reach out. I try calling the number that reached out to him and it goes to voicemail. I then receive a text and she texts back with a picture containing private account information, regarding my address, name, amount, etc. Basing the verification off a number that was on the account. The absolute worst Ive been on the phone for 3 hours trying to cancel my service, I still have not spoken to anybody they hung up on me twice and they are awful, I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy

I have ADT and called them several days ago because I was sent a monthly bill and I pay yearly. I called billing at least 10 times and was put on hold for 10 to 30 minutes and no one would pick up. This was on a Monday morning. I called several other numbers and was put on the same hold and no one picked up. I finally called their line for reporting burglaries and was put on a short hold and someone finally picked up.
