There customer service is horrible you wait on the phone for more than an hour for assistance and get no where.
They have a limit on the video recordings and make there customers adjust there cameras to be less sensitive and record less.My truck got broken into and because of that ,they didn't record anything! Then as a unsatisfied customer I tried to terminate my service, but was unable because ADT CHARGES A FORTUNE TO CANCEL THERE SERVICE. There thieves and are only out to tie people with there contacts and steel ther money.
ADT new policy is to call back everyone who had cancelled service for any reason thus to get that account reactive at any cost. I cancelled my mother's ADT service in 2022 because she passed away. While ADT does not have the intelligence to cross check cancel accounts with the death index to determine if the cancellation due to death. The service has been broken down and unplugged for 6+ months, I declined a renewal offer and have spent to much time on the phone to get them to stop billing me. The agents are trained to talk in circles saying they can't help you until you make a payment. All for a monitor service that's not in effect and past 2 year contract. If you get transfered, you will be on hold with no info and I hang up at 1/2 hour.I get bills, emails and phone calls daily, all robo so you cant respond.This is the worst business I've dealt with to ... read more
cancelled my ADT service after 25 years due to move. they told me I could close on 21 nov but they're billing me until 21 dec. when I asked why? they said it takes that long to close acct. so I asked what if the people that bought my house want ADT service there since the equipment is already in place. they said can get it and they will start billing them immediately. so I said that's double billing for the same house. they said talk to billing maybe they'll refund ya. so if they can do that why are they billing me in the fi... read more
Very dissatisfied. I got the service 4 months. First of all, I already had an alarm system, and the ADT rep came to my home anyway, even when I told him I had a service, he basically pushed the sale on me. Since that time, its been a problem with the system, faulty alarms, sensors not working, etc. not to mention ADT was supposed to cancel my current provider at that time, and they did not. Ive been paying 2 providers for 4 months.
I have been and ADT customer for 3 years. My contract is up and I decided to cancel my service. Well good luck. I have been on hold 3 different times for 30 plus minutes and never have been able to cancel my service. This is terrible. There are many BBB complaints about this. Please help customers who just want out.
I would give no stars if that were possible. I had a an ADT alarm system installed in 2013.I was unable to arm the system if leaving the house because my 8 lb cat would cause the alarm to sound even though the sensors were adjusted to allow for the movement of the cat.Now I am sleep deprived because last week, the alarm began to sound every night around 3am due to a faulty window sensor. I was forced to sign a 3 year contract at an agreed upon price. 10 months later, i receive an email stating that ADT will be raising my rate...how is this legal or even ethical?This company is a sham...how does BBB give this company an accreditation when they barely have a 1 star rating? With so many other options, go somewhere else...but don't take it from just me, just read these hundreds of reviews first!
