I used the service in the past for my primary and rental homes. I sold the rentals and did not cancel and were subsequently charged for months that I did not need the service. My fault, I will take that hit. Upon realizing that I was still being charged, I called the company and cancelled, two moths later still being charged. As a result called in again to cancel and remove my card from the system. Three months later I get an invoice saying I owe for service? Both the sales and installation/instruction phases of this relationship have been client-friendly and staffed by knowledgeable personnel. Their patience with my questions is appreciated. The installation was clean and efficient, and the rep emailed me a pdf of the operations material so I would have detailed instructions for use on hand. Contacting the general office has been a different experience: long wait times and a kind of amateurish vibe; certainly not like the actual services described above.

I was liking the company initially and even referred my daughter but then May 2019 I switched to another company and paid out what they asked me to to finish out the contract But, I am to this day continuing to receive bills for monitoring and each month it goes higher and higher. I called the business and was told because I did not MAIL in the cancellation; I emailed it that it does not count. Who mails anything these days. So, I have attempted to email Rich Perry the current CEO prior to obtaining legal counsel.

I am completely frustrated with Ackerman Security! I keep getting a positive response here but when I call, I get no help. I don't have possession or access to the equipment and services they are charging me for and they refuse to accept anything other than the full three years payment ð?¤¦â?â??️

I have the unfortunate experience of being charged 3 times within 16 days. When I finally was able to get someone on the phone to have my account credited, I was informed there was a new billing system/cycle. I was also informed no customers were notified in advance of the new changes and I am sure most of us were billed repeatedly during October/November. I'm sooo disappointed in Ackerman security. I moved into a house and signed up for their service. Two months later I had to move out of the house bc my son got a great job in San Francisco. Ackerman security does NOT service SF but the company will not allow me to cancel service to an address I don't have access to. I'm very frustrated. I offered to pay an early termination fee but they told me the fee was the entire three years amount. Antiquated systems and difficult website to navigate. They make it very hard to cancel their services and charge a hefty cancellation fee even for customers that have been with them for over 10 years. Poor customer service. I would not recommend them to anyone. If you do business with them, check the fine print and do not sign up for an automatic annual renewal.

To my understanding, the billing software was updated recently, which caused some issues with my account being double charged. All of the agents that assisted with my multiple calls, responded with so much empathy and understanding to my frustrations. I feel that they went over and beyond as I was not an easy person to deal with at that time. It was hard to remain angry at them. I was recently offered a bundled deal with ***, I allowed the sales consultant to speak to me regarding the same equipment and services that I currently have with Ackerman. I found that I am getting a much better deal with Ackerman.. Not to mention, I've only experienced ONE issue through the entire 5 years that I've been a customer. I expressed my concerns with the representative who scheduled a technician out the very next day!
