I have been a customer of Ackerman for around 15 yrs. I do not use the system any longer. I was told I have to give the co. 60 days exactly notice to stop service. I was even told the date to call to stop service in Oct. I told them I do not have a contract any longer with them and they told me in 2013 I paid my bill so that renewed the contract. I thought this practice was outlawed some time ago in Georgia! They can renew your contract on the first year only in this manner. Can someone tell me if I'm correct?

Total scam from sales representative. Was not told I would have to pay my old security co. $350 for switching to Ackerman. Repeated tries to text & call rep. only to receive vague info. back. Do not use this security company

Been with Ackerman for just under 5 years. We fulfilled our 3 year agreement with no issues. After some thought we decided we want to cancel our service about a year after our contract was up. We never called to cancel because just like everyone else in the world we just got busy and never done it. We just let the auto draft keep running without thinking about it. Ackerman was the only company who gave me a no fuss straight forward basic package like I requested. Without trying to badge their sales pitch on me. They were quick and they had a very experienced guy to finalize everything.

I will be calling Ackerman to discontinue service next week. I have only been with this outfit a month, and have had enough! I selected another home security provider and will be meeting with them next week, as well. Ackerman just installed my system in January. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement.
