As usual, BBB has found a way to sanitize this company's image; any Google search will set you straight for the real Ackerman service and product, which is worse than you can imagine, unless you imagine hardcore sales guys, sloppy billing and zero minus customer service. Just a TERRIBLE company.
I signed a 3 year contract with Ackerman in Feb. 2017. In April I see a charge on my credit card, without my consent, for $14.36. I called to inquire. They said they didn't need my consent to charge my credit card. They said there was a tax increase and had to charge me for the increase. I said, I signed a contract and paid in full the $239.40 for the year. I said I don't think you can keep charging me after the fact and they said I will be charged this every year. Ms. ****** we do understand your concerns. However, these taxes are imposed by your local government that Ackerman Security has to adhere to. Ms. ****** if you review your Alarm Service Agreement it does state "Subscriber agrees to pay Company $19.95 per month plus any applicable taxes or fees payable annually."
