I have been with Ackerman for the last 2 years and I have been thoroughly pleased. What I like most is how every time my alarm goes off or has a problem, they contact me within 30 seconds to make sure everything is ok. Other companies do not call you which makes me think they aren't monitoring like they are getting paid to do. Also, Ackerman's monthly monitoring charge is the lowest among security companies. I highly recommend Ackerman to everyone.

Stay away from this company. They are terrible. I recently moved into my home and signed up with Ackerman for an alarm system for my home. The alarm system started going off at all times of the night. There was no intrusion of my home. We called Ackerman every time it happened and they sent out a tech, but it was always days before the tech showed up. Ackerman Security is a company with policies that are made to make sense to only them. I called to cancel my policy in October because I was moving to an apartment temporarily while I was working on securing another home. The sale rep told me to hold the account for a few months for no charge and then reactivate at the new location. I was with them for six years at my old resident and thought I would give them a shot. Horrible customer service. My husband tried to cancel the service and was pressured to taking a lower payment. I called back to cancel the service. They said it must be cancelled by mail. Still waiting on the required form.
