I ordered a pod from 1-800-pack-rat on 6/16/2025.They confirmed out delivery date of 6/30 via email.They also confirmed via an email reminder the friday ********* was confimed via 3 seperate **** that our delivery date was confirmed for 6/30.We were also given a delivery window on 6/30.The container never showed up and 1-800-pack-rat told us that we now had no delivery date and couldn't tell us where the container was or when it would be delivered.We had to to stay home from work for 2 days to wait for this container to be d... read more
I used this company, paid extra for my 16ft container to be delivered on a specific date. They had the container 2 weeks before the move. I drove 28hrs to find out my container never left the origin location. That's just the beginning, they also managed to miss the next delivery date with no communication of it. I used 1-800-PACK-RAT for a move and was very disappointed to find out that my final price was increased due to a fuel surcharge. At no point during the booking or scheduling process was I told that my rate could change based on gas prices. When I contacted customer service, they told me this policy was mentioned in the terms and conditions, which I dont recall ever receiving or being ******** feels deceptive to bury price changes in fine print and not clearly communicate something as important as potential cost increasesesp... read more
I have had good experiences using Pack Rat. I've used them several times now. I always experience a terror watching my containers be driven away that I might not see my stuff again, but they have always arrived at my new home. Because you put your own lock on the container, I don't have to worry about theft of my stuff. Every employee I've ever dealt with, either in the warehouse for container access, or on the phone, has always provided superior customer service. Wonderful experience! Our cross country move was seamless and all scheduled times were honored. Anytime I had to call customer service (for a few questions) they were so helpful! 10 outta 10 would recommend!
I love this company Easy to reach and.very helpfulamd stayed on days and time promised All at a great price I used them from ******* to Tennesse So convenient I had a 2 week spread of couch surfing with family. They stored it too.
Do not use this company! Horrible experience. Scheduled our drop off date 3 weeks in advance. Received emails confirming. Took off work. They just rescheduled it at the warehouse without informing us for two days later, after the weekend we took off. Had nowhere to sleep for two days. Called 10 times over the course of the day. They just kept transferring us and saying that nobody was picking up at the warehouse even though they were open until 10 that night. I would give this company zero stars if possible. Completely regret using Pack Rat. I moved from ******* to ********** and my container was supposed to arrive in 2 weeks. I called 2 days before the arrival date to confirm that it was on schedule and they said yes it would be delivered on time. Come the day of drop off, they never showed up. I took the day off work, hired movers, and all they could say was that they didn't have a driver and the warehouse would have my container delivered the next day.
