We scheduled a long distance move and our things were picked up on 6/24. We were told it would take 7-11 business days for our things to arrive. Never got my pod! I ordered a pod 6 weeks ago to be delivered on 7/20. 5 pm on the day of delivery I called for the second time to be told they ran out of pods. Called the next morning to be told the pod is on the truck to be believed. 4 pm still no pod so called again was told drop off was between 7pm and 11pm. HERE IT IS 9 PM still no pod.. No calls back. We sincerely apologize for any confusion and delays resulting from the order. The customer agreed to a flex agreement and then modified the order from a local move to a long-distance move. We were glad to accommodate, but it did change the logistics. The customer's unit is on track to be delivered and the customer has been refunded according to changes in the account. I had used Pack Rat for a move last year and I thought they did an okay job and they were priced lower than the competition. Sure, the customer service was poor, I got random calls from all over the country from their drivers mixing up my name with their real clients; but those were all hassles I was prepared to deal with. Do not hire this company! I know they will price match and be nice over the phone, but the communication system is flawed. I am currently using their services and our pod still has not been delivered! It's been three weeks (they promise 10 business days for delivery), it left the dispatch facility late (which we were not notified about), was not delivered on our scheduled delivery date, I'm still waiting for people to communicate on where our pod currently is and when it will be delivered. This company has not delivered. When I arranged to have my container picked up, I was unsure of when I would be sending my container to Arizona but had to move out by 6/10. Just prior to the initial container arriving, I called back to have them immediately send my container to AZ with a delivery date of 7/1. This was immediately updated on the website. I booked an 8 foot pod for a move with their company in May 2021 for a move in July 2021. They promised that exact size pod, anything larger could not fit on the driveway and I wasn't allowed by the city to park it elsewhere. Fast forward to the day of delivery - nobody shows up. I call, they say they have no driver. I get ahold of a regional manager, they tell me that they could never deliver an 8 foot pod in the NYC/Long Island area to begin with, only a 16 foot pod. I recently made a move from California to Georgia. My reservation and pick up date began June 4.
