We recently used 1800-Pack Rat to move some furnishings from California to SW Washington. We paid an extra month rental to make sure we had plenty of time to unload contents of small unit. This was all paid for in advance on a credit card. We then received email conformation they would be there on last day of paid month to pick up empty trailer. We stayed home to make sure things were taken care of. As we weren't home day of Delivery They had dropped Pod off in a diagonal position which blocked access to our garage. They NEV... read more

They promise everything, email dates, then don't get back to you to confirm. You think it's all set, but no so much. 3 week after that promised pick up with a 10 day business day delivery after that! Honestly, go with a reputable moving company! So much stress, and unhappiness..

The most horrible company. You would think a storage company would have an idea about where their storage containers are but they have no idea. To get a hold of them you have to wait on the phone for an average of 45 minutes. They didn't deliver our container on the promised date and never called back with a resolution. Oh and they charged my credit card before delivery. Nice scam!

Well, it's now been over three weeks since my belongings were supposed to be delivered. I wish I had checked this site, but unfortunately the 800 number goes to a North Carolina call center, and the company is really a series of franchise owners. So far, however, they are all terrible. Someone set up two accounts for me. My belongings left my old home in March. It is now almost July, and I have no idea where they are. They were supposed to be delivered on June 3rd. This has been an absolute nightmare of a move. We (myself, my husband and his mother) are relocating from *********************. The *********** side of the move went off without any issues. The ****** side has been a complete nightmare. We were originally scheduled to receive our container on 6/15/21. It did not show up by the afternoon so I called and was told it would be here by 8:45pm. At 8pm I called again to be told they did not know where my container was located. They are holding our pod hostage in the facility set for a month after the original time. They never answer back to calls or emails to the facility about fixing this. They have no drivers available and no supervisors to answer for the mistakes. They also dropped the deposit, rent, and other fees late and within 24 hours of each other, draining my account (over $2000). We booked *********** a month in advance for our move end of this month. We added loading and unloading services to it and the agent 'accidentally' changed the date to later in July without informing us. We found out from a confirmation email (that took us two phone calls with prolonged wait time) that the date was moved to later in July. We then spent 48 hours trying to get this resolved until we finally got in touch with someone. We will have to drop off our things to the terminal now, getting our own truck and movers. In 2019, I contacted packrat since I had to suddenly move a good 500 miles away and wasn't able to take my things with me. It came recommended and seemed like a great service. I told them that my stuff would be left locally for quite a while but would then be shipped nationally. I was given a "local" unit that can't actually leave the city it is located in. This company should not be allowed to hold or transport personal belongings. My things have been in storage with Pack Rat since Nov 30. Last week, unbeknownst to me and for no apparent reason (according to them) my container was moved from GA to TX. So far I have spoken to three supervisors all of whom say they will call me back to let me know where my things are and what happened. NO ONE has ever called me back. I have tried to reach the CEO, ****, *****, but there is no published way to reach him. This company is not trust... read more
