I wish I could leave 0 stars! This company is completely incompetent. First, they canceled my reservation for no reason. Then, after talking to **** (a supervisor) he reassured me they would make it right since they reviewed the recorded call and determined that in no way shape or form did I ever cancel my reservation. Then, on the morning of the delivery of my container Cody (another so-called supervisor) called to inform me they were not able to deliver the container since they needed permits for the street. Do not use this company! 1-800-Pack-Rat picked up our full container (order #*******) on 10/10 for a move from *********** to ***********. The container was supposed to be delivered to our new house on 10/24. The evening of 10/23 I realized I had not gotten any calls or emails from them about timing. I called them to find out that they had tried to charge my credit card ONE time on 10/12. The bank had turned off my card off for 2 hours (because I was driving across the county) as a security measure. They had attempted to cha... read more

I am SO disappointed with the service. I am a single parent and just purchased a new house...I hired movers to assist with the unload of my packrat container. It was supposed to be delivered on Friday, 10/23. I received a call in the afternoon at 2:50pm stating that the forklift was down at the 1800packrat facility and my order would be delayed. I explained that I hired movers and there would be a cancellation fee. I asked for a delivery the next day and was told that the next available time for them would be 10/28. I asked ... read more

I have never been exposed to a company that is so unorganized and who has a horrible logistics program. My belongings were picked up at my home in Iowa on October 12th and I was never able to get a commitment date on delivery to my new location. For weeks I have only heard, "we have 6-8 business days to send you and email and then you call us to schedule delivery". This is crap, I am a 70 year old lady and I am sitting in an empty home in Texas and my property is still being held in some warehouse. If and when I get my pods,... read more

I wish I could give 0 stars, because they delivered 0 service. I made the mistake of using ZippyShell for a move from NYC to GA. The move was scheduled for Friday morning. The truck missed the agreed-upon time window, I had to call to find out what was happening--nobody called me--then I proceeded to get contradictory and misleading information from ZippyShell. At various points I was told by ZippyShell and their local subcontractor: 1) We have to reschedule for 1 week later. 2) We might be able to find something for Monday.... read more

Absolutely horrible service. Delivery drivers are clearly not interested in doing jobs well and scheduling is pitiful. Nothing gets delivered or picked up even on the day scheduled in advance. Scheduling is handled by folks that are not local and have zero control over local offices. Very unreliable and no regard for personal time. Called at 2 pm on day of scheduled pickup and told they were overbooked and wouldn't be there for 4 days. Didn't place pod correctly either time it was delivered.

I should have listened to the reviews. I was priced 3276 and even had the representative breakdown all charges for me. I wasn't going to use them initially but did because they lowered the price so I would use their service. Mistake honestly. Charged an extra $220 . Called billing and they transferred me immediately. Was on the line for almost an hour. So I called back and turns out after waiting all the time on hold it was after hours now. I left a voicemail and no call back. Deceptive Pricing! Buried in fine print and not strongly emphasized and disclosed up front, is language saying if diesel prices are more than $1.75 / gal at time of move, they will charge a "fuel subsidy." Think about it, when is the last time you remember diesel prices at or below $1.75 gal? 20 years ago? So they know they will automatically be charging you more to help pay for fuel! Outrageous.
