I had a long distance move scheduled for service from May 14th to May 29th. We were told that we would receive a phone call the day before each and every container pick up and drop off. We never got any of the day-before calls. We were given time frames in which the local facilities would pick up or drop off containers, but our times were never accurate (usually 2-4 hours later than stated). I've rented three packrats. The first two were fine except for a minor glitch where the deliverer tilted the full pod at about a 25% angle causing sliding, scratching of furniture, and a few broken items. Pod 3....... I changed the delivery date for the pod online but could not change the deliver-at-end-location date as that's the way packrat is programmed. Is there a way to give negative stars? One is far to kind. I am now on reschedule number three trying to get my units delivered (my move was 7.6 miles away). There is apparently only one forklift in ***********, TX and it has now been broken going on two weeks. I only know this, because I literally have to call every single day to get an update. On April 28 I scheduled two pack rat containers to be delivered to my home, on May 21 and a pick up on May 24. Both of the containers were delivered on time. On the 24th one was picked up and as of today May 30 the other still remains in the driveway of my old home which has been purchased by someone else. I order a moving container from this company . I was given a quote then they added a price for fuel which was not given to me at the time of the contract. They told me that the container will be delivered on 4/2/2021 . I waited for them to dropped the container off. They did not dropped the container off until about the 4/7/2021. I had to return to work. Now I had to pay for keeping the container for 2 extra month because they did not delivered it in a timely manner. In early March, 2021, I contracted with 1 800 Pack Rat to deliver a pod to my address on April 26, 2021. Three days prior to delivery 4/23/21 I called them to confirm. I was told they could not deliver until 4/29/21. That was totally not on my schedule. I was closing on my house that day. I moved long distance from TN to AZ. I took a 2.5 week vacation in between in TX so I used the storage option. They were exceptional!! Anytime I called in, they answered me directly and quickly! The customer service team is outstanding. I called 3 different times with 3 different employees...all fantastic! I had a long distance move from Michigan to Washington state (*******).At openingI was told my total was $3531 (after 15% discount, $4225 before discount). I asked if there were any other fees and was told no. I asked if the rental fee was included in the $3531 and was told it was. I was told I had the option to pay that rental fee at delivery and the remaining at pickup or pay the entire $3531 at pickup. I paid the rental fee of $284.68 on 3/14.
