Storage unit was supposed to be delivered on 8/6, got a call from the driver that morning letting me know the forklift wasn't working so he would be there when he originally said. Ok, no problem. I get a call later from a scheduling agent saying it should be there between 4-7, and the driver will call within an hour of delivery. My "Total Move Price" of $4,164.00 is nothing compared to what I've been charged SO FAR. So far I've been charged 237.15, 4,524.35, 238.19 and it's not yet done. Do not give them your money. They added a fuel surcharge which was not explained to me that kicks in if diesel fuel prices are above $2.55/gallon at the time of move, they were above 2.55 the entire last year and this year so this is ridiculous to hide in fine print. This company should not be in business. Contracted move from MN to NC. Transit time in contract states 7-10 business days. Today is day 9 and my things are still in MN. Spoke with a Supervisor by the name of ****** and he just kept repeating how the transit time was just an estimate. That is deceptive business practice. I used Pack Rat for a long distance move. They have been a colossal disappointment. They're delivery of my unit is going on two weeks late which can be expected for long distance moves. My issue is that I have no idea of when the unit left its destination, where the unit is located or when it will arrive. They have also charged me a monthly storage fee for my unit which has yet to be delivered and would not have been charged had the unit been delivered on time. Worst customer service, doesn't answer phone. Doesn't show up for drop off, won't give you any answers. DONT USE THEM!

Go elsewhere and run as fast as you can. Initial set up for pod delivery and to set up the service for storage things were good. However when I was ready to have the pod return to my new home it was awful. No one would answer the phone and I would be on hold for up to 2 hours no exaggeration. This company works with Simple Moving Labor to provide movers to move your items into storage but Pack Rat does a horrible job assisting with the coordination of getting both companies to be available on consecutive days. On the day of the move they called me and said the forklift is not working and could not pickup.. i asked for a new ETA and they dont have one.. and i have packed everything booked my flights around the move even called them 2 days before the move to confirm if everything ok and they said everything is on track.. my biggest question is if they cannot stick to their preferred schedule why do they even take the reservations.. i had to find some other movers ..delay my flights and go thru all the stress, pain and agony the cust... read more

Every interaction, a hassle. I have never experienced such a miserable customer experience in my life. From signing the contract, which could not be downloaded, to pickup, delivery, and then the pick up of the empty container, this company and their employees were inefficient, incompetent, disrespectful, and apathetic. Pack Rat has a huge problem with communication. Average on hold time is 1 hour +. We were supposed to have our containers delivered at the end of June. We got one on 7/12/21 the 2nd one was to dropped off on 7/28/21. I've been attempting to reach anyone with any info on when it will get here and hours of being on hold .when I do get a person to talk to I 'm put back on hold and finally told they are updating and will let me know and thing.
