My experience with 1-800-PACK-RAT was exceptionally disappointing. Our pod was delivered almost 2 months late (making a trip from the*********, CAã?on 6/23/2021, to *******, WA, 8/26/2021), which wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't had terrible communication from Customer Service during our actual pod delivery process. We are in the midst of a cross country move over a period of three months. Our first pod went fairly well. Picked up and delivered on the dates stated. The only problem was lack of clarity in billing. Our quote per pod was $4,177 total move price per pod. When it was picked up, our CC was billed for $4,516. I waited on hold for over an hour before being able to speak to a customer service representative where they said it was a "fuel subsidy" charge. Order # ******* Container was scheduled for delivery on Thursday 8/26. Driver called at 8 am to let me know he would be there early afternoon, so stayed close to my house. It wasn't until shortly before 7 pm that I received another call from the driver saying he would be there within 30 minutes, but there 'was a situation'. The 8 ft container I had ordered wasn't available but they could substitute a 16 ft one instead at no extra charge. Pack Rat completely messed up my move! After reserving a container to be delivered, stored, then moved long distance, Pack Rat never delivered the container. The container was scheduled to be delivered on 8/16. That day I did get a text saying the truck broke down and would be delivered 8/17 in the morning. The truck never showed up and there was no communication. When I called and was directed to receive a call back in two hours, that's what I did. I got a call back and was told the container would be delivered that evening... read more

ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT in place. you call their number and the automated system puts you on hold for hrs and no one picks up or you eventually get disconnected.

This company is a complete and total rip off !! Save your money and go ANYWHERE ELSE !!. We called them at the beginning of the month to get them to come and pick up their container for them to tell us it was going to be THREE WEEKS before they could pick it up and oh yeah by the way they were going to charge us another $350 for ANOTHER MONTH FOR THEIR MISTAKE !!! Promised 10 day shipping, have been on the phone with them non stop for days, and now our estimated delivery date is over 2 months. They cannot identify where my container is.

I ordered a pod from PACKRAT so I can pack up my home to move... they called and said there truck " broke down" and it came 3-4 days later.. eventually I got it packed up and picked up.. now I am moving into my new home and was giving the drop of date as 8/25/21 for the pod to be dropped of at my new home well today is 8/25 and they texted me at 11:30 am that because the trucks "broke down" (again...) it can't be delivered for nearly a week 8/31.... Ordered and paid for a 16' POD with Pack Rat and they never showed or called on scheduled day.. it took 3 weeks to get my delivery. Now, they aren't picking it up as scheduled. They did text and say the truck broke down - same lie they said for delivery. They said they would come the next day and they didn't show up or call. No one answers their phone or chat or emails. Frustrating. I am moving and this container has to be moved NOW. Never book with these people .
