This has been hands down the worst experience of my life. I paid Zippy Shell over $3000.00 for a long distance move from **** to *******. Right now, currently, as I type this, I believe they have either lost, or STOLEN my container. All of my worldly possessions gone, and I PAID them to do this to me. My pod was picked up 09/11/2021. I have still not received it. They have canceled on me 6 times. I was speaking back and forth to several reps and a sup, who promised me a refund as well as dropping off MY unit. I would give this business zero stars if I could! We were supposed to get our storage container delivered to ******** on 10/19. It is 12/3 and we still do not have our container! They first told us they lost it, then they said they couldn't find a driver for a week and a half then they told us they only have one forklift to operate an entire warehouse and it was broken so they couldn't ship it. We call every single day asking for an update and for our container and the supervisors we speak to do absolutely nothing! I feel li... read more

I preface this review with two qualifications: 1) I tried to move in June 2021, a time period where there was an apparent spike in people moving and 2) the local truck drivers I interacted with were the most hard-working and caring people in this entire company. This place has hidden fees so beware. The price they quote you will likely not be what they charge you. Over the phone, the rep made it sound like my total move from ******* to ******* was going to be 2500 USD total. This was after I had them match a quote from PODS their competitor. They charged me 3000 USD which included a transportation subsidy and repositioning fee of 500 USD. Move of 2 PODS to NH. Drop off date was rescheduled/pushed fwd twice. Unable to move both PODS at same time, so need 2 trucks to make the move; 2 different pick up dates. I won't even get into how I'm probably going to see a "fuel charge" for 2 TRUCKS now. Finally received a solid drop-off date. Booked flight from CA to NH to be on premise when PODS arrived. I was charged a cancellation fee before signing the contract. That money went out the window. They pushed me to get the container before the schedule date and I was not able to complete the transaction. Horrible company to work with. I will never used them ever. I did not read the reviews. Shame on me. Lesson learned.

My partner and I booked a Zippy Shell through PackRat for a move from Boston to California. We were happy with the service received at the beginning of booking but customer service took a turn for the worst the night before our pod was scheduled to be dropped off. We had originally planned to have the pod delivered to our driveway (located in a cul-de-sac) and confirmed at the time of booking with two different employees (well in advance of the delivery) that this was possible. Worst company to work with your moving needs!! Initial billing problems-They committed for one amount and specifically mentioned, it's flat with no additional charges included. Now I had to call them many times and get the additional charges waived. Delivery issues-I was supposed to receive my shipment on 11/6/2021, but I have a new delivery date of 11/18/2021 and I am not sure about what to expect next. No one in customer service have been able to help in this regards.
