When we called to set up move they said they had issues with system but they would take care of it. They gave us a delivery date of 9/28/2021. We contracted with packrat to deliver a storage container to our home to empty the contents of our garage and take into storage for one month while we move to a different state. On the day they were supposed to drop off the storage container we called for a time of delivery and they informed us they weren't going to be able to drop off the container as promised. We chose pack rats to move our stuff from California to Tennessee. We chose then because they claimed to be the cheapest and fastest option compared to quotes from Pods and other such moving companies. They delivered them fairly promptly and we had to purchase brand new locks for them that were ours to put on and protect our stuff. We loaded up our units and had them ready to go on pick up day and they came to get them and then said one of them was too heavy so we would have to get another unit or move stuff from one to anot... read more

1800 Pack Rat is without a doubt the worst company I have ever worked with. Not only are they deceptive and unprofessional, they are completely unresponsive to customers. I cannot advise others enough to avoid this company. Further, if you have already contracted with 1800 Pack Rat, I would recommend that you immediately cancel and begin attempting to get your belongs back, as it may take you weeks or months to do so. They drove the truck into our house and won't pay for the repair. PACK RAT aka ZippyShell hired ******* to drive the truck to deliver our pod. They backed into a wall on our driveway. Their claims process was archaic but ultimately they said if we paid a mason to repair the wall and provided an itemized invoice, that they compensate us for the damage. Well, let's begin with my "Zippy saga"...on 7/30/21 I called various companies for quotes for relocating my belonging to my new home. I spoke w/************* @ Zippy who told me they were affiliated with 1-800-PACKRAT & I could receive either a Zippy shell or PACKRAT container for the quote she was providing (even though it says in the quote for a Zippy Shell).
