I contacted with pack rat to move my container from Georgia to New Mexico for $3120.00. They required $500.00 deposit then 328.00 rental fee when they delivered on 8/28/22-9/28/22. Picked up container 9/20/22 to transport to New Mexico, immediately. I was charged $2597.00 day after pick up for transportation now there saying I owe another 328.00 for storage in Georgia, and I will owe 348.00 for storage in New Mexico? Unless I pay $328.00 for storage in Ga, they will deny me access to my belongings in New Mexico!!! Very SHADY... read more

Currently dealing with Zippy Shell, they have completely made our cross country move even more stressful than it already is. We purchased a 7x7x16 container, which was supposed to be delivered to our house, we paid extra to have movers load our items into the container and haul off cross country. The sales rep ****** who signed me up made it sound so simple. This company is horrible. Without question the worst company I have ever dealt with. Do not do business with this company! They absolutely do not deserve 1 star. They are quick to sell you a container deal, but from that point forward, you are on your own because their Customer Service is a sham, non-existent. 800Packrat is a poor excuse for a business. They cannot meet any promises made. We asked for a pod delivery for our first unit and it was late due to "vehicle issues". Pickup of the unit was delayed again by "vehicle issues". Drop off of the second unit was delayed again by "vehicle issues". We fully expect them to be delayed in getting the second unit picked up next week, and again they will miss the promised delivery dates in October. They do not deserve one star at all. I ordered a storage container while my first floor was getting redone due to damage beyond our control. Pack Rat was to deliver weather proof container between noon - 4pm. They did not arrive until 6:30pm on a Saturday. I needed to have my entire main level cleared out by Sunday at 5pm. When this unit was delivered it was not weather proof. There were holes ducted taped, the top of the unit was rusted and had holes. The duct tape they used was coming off. Beware of this company. The price may be lower than other companies but that’s solely because the quality of customer service and care is garbage. And they will charge you in every other way possible so it all evens out in the end. They are so unprofessional, disorganized, and slimey. I called to have a 16' container delivery because I am selling my house and I am on a strict time line. On the day of delivery I received a text message with no name of the company that was sending i saying they were not delivering and I was going to be rescheduled.
