We had a storage container with them for one year. I scheduled for pick up on 7th of the month. They can't schedule pickup until the 18th of the month. My monthly charge set in on the 6th of the month. I talked to billing and they said there is nothing they can do to waive the monthly charge or even Prorate since I did call towards beginning of period. They didn't have any sooner pickup time. I placed my service order 4 weeks before my move. Drop off of the pod was delivered in the timeframe expected. I was advised by the agent when i placed the order that i should schedule my pick-up date at least 5 days prior to the date required. I called 11 days (11/4) days prior to the date i needed my pod picked up and 16 prior to the date I needed delivered to my new home. Company did not take responsibility for my damaged items because crate was broken and rats got in this is a horrible company I have had to throw away all of my furniture *******, were truly sorry to hear about the damage to your belongings and the distress this situation has caused. cheapness is expensive in time and useless web site. sitting on hold each time I've called to schedule both pickup and delivery. 3rd time I've called to schedule delivery and the call justs keeps showing another call that promises to connect to an agent but when I transfer the existing wait call to accept it starts all over again. the web site is also a vicious circle of trying only to have it say to call. save yourself the frustration and pay a bit more with U-Haul pods. ****,were sorry to hear about the difficulties you ex... read more

They charge you without advance notification for a full month of storage $433.60 if you're even one day late on the container pick up. Their service for this matter *****. This policy is BS. My experience with packrat was awful. They gave me an anticipated delivery date, then delayed it, then on the date they delayed delivery to, the container never arrived, they never called to notify me of the further delay, so I had individuals scheduled to help me unpack who showed up for no reason. They never emailed, they did nothing, the container simply did not show up. When it finally did show up the container was tied closed with twine/rope.
