Trying to settle a claim with this organization has been a nightmare. Everyone gives you a different answer. The left hand doesn't communicate with the right hand and they talk from both sides of their mouth. The are duplicitous in their answers, tell you one thing and then deny it. The service reps that I have worked with are combative and hostile and should certainly not be interacting with customers. Zurich is deceitful and a fraud, avoid if possible. We had a ******* clear claim on a *************** Contract - like ******* clear - and they denied it. Vehicle with 11K under the Contract had a water pump fail. Despite even the vehicle manufacturer themselves listing "water pump and housing" as part of the powertrain, Zurich's reply was we have powertrain coverage ... but the water pump is not part of the powertrain coverage ... ... what??? Very upsetting customer service call with **********************. We just moved to a home in the ************ The internet installer made an accidental hole in the ceiling. Zurich is handling the claim. Maybe their **** ***** was having an off day or maybe he thinks it is okay to be impatient, belittling, and dismissive. In October of 2016 we bought a 2014 Sorento still under factory warranty. The dealership added the pre-owned certification, we paid almost $2500 for an additional warranty through and $900 for gap insurance through Zurich. We already had gap through USAA, but the ************ raved about how good they were and we like to be covered so we got it! Purchased a new ***** CX-30 with Zurich Shield on March 16, 2021. When the vehicle went back for ***** mile service I noticed several discolored spots on the front passanger-side door. Something had penetrated and discolored the Zurich Shield and damaged the paint. The worst damage was the cloudy discoloration of the Zurich Shield.Should be easy and not very expensive to repair and certainly should be covered by the Zurich Shield warranty. This is the absolute worst company to deal with, my car was hit by their insurer and I have had the hardest time dealing with them then to top it off the stopped paying for a rental before my vehicle was even ready! If you have to deal with them use a lawyer. I should have gotten one when it too their agent ***** ***** forever just to start my claim. Also management is a joke they never reach out to you. If I could go back in time Im sure this process would have been a lot more professional and timely!
I am dealing with Zurich through an injury claim. Their customer blatantly ran the red light at an intersection and plowed into me and my 7 year old daughter, which resulted in my brand new vehicle being totaled. I have wrapped up treatment and looking for the next steps to complete. On 6/11/21, I took my car to get an oil change before a trip to *******. My last oil change was on 4/21/21, but knowing the long trip ahead, I wanted the fluids freshened up. The service tech told me that I would not be traveling as my transmission was broken and needed to be replaced. Luckily, I had purchased and extended warranty from Zurich NA.
