I work for a staffing company and have used Ziprecruiter for 5 years. They used to be great. But the last 2 years have been anything but. Last year I had 50 job openings posted and in 5 days got over 350 applicants. In a middle of a pandemic! The same jobs posted for the same time period this year and I have 37 applicants. 1/10th of what they did last year. 18 of the ads have been viewed by no one! Last year I was paying $1400/month for the ads this year they want $3000. They recommended opening a new account. Did that paid ... read more

I keep getting job referrals sent to me, which is great. HOWEVER, all links are inoperable when I get further inquiries past the initial application. I have NO way to contact potential jobs! What's the point of this service if you can't reply to an interested party? Useless.

Business response:

Hi Tara, After you apply for a job, the hiring managers will contact you directly either via email, phone, or the messages feature. We'd like to obtain some more information about the links you're having trouble with. Please email more details to our dedicated customer care team at *******@ziprecruiter.com. We look forward to assisting you further, and we wish you the best of luck with your job search! Kind Regards, TC Customer Experience ZipRecruiter

So I believe this company is scamming business owners now due to the pandemic and people not looking for job and them losing money. I have worked with this company for over 5 years and just this year after I paid over $1000, $1018 to be exact, a day after they took May money they cancelled my account and would not give me a reason why. All they said was that i was in violation of their term. I can understand that if someone were to give me a warning to let me know what was done wrong but they just took my money and then told... read more

Ziprecruiter has a contract for any business they categorize as a direct sales startup business called their ICD contract. You register at www.ziprecruiter.com/icd. Ziprecruiter takes the monthly fee of $585 before verifying the business is of their standards. After they take payment, they wait for the customer to list jobs, wait anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks, and will disable the account without refund and without definitive explanation. They have put a disclaimer in their terms and conditions to try to prevent business... read more

Horrible experience with them. They charged me over $600 without telling me. They automatically rolled me into a $16.00 a day program with no notification or anything. When I called to challenge it they said that what it was. How can a company that is helping struggling business during covid take advantage of people in such a way. It is horrible and they basically said, to bad so sad. Such sad and horrible behavior to take advantage of people with no communication.

Terrible customer service. I was posting a job and put in all of the information and free text needed. Hit the green post and save button but am redirected to the "must pay us first" section. So I buy 3 slots for one month at $649.00 per month. it takes my CC information and payment. but when I go to post the job I had written out, voila! nothing was saved. Called their lackadaisical customer service people who had no interest in helping me. The best help I best help I got was "Yeah, if its not in the draft, it's gone." So I... read more

Business response:

Hello Patrick, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that you were unable to save your drafted job before posting. Our system may time out after an extended period of time. We do generally recommend saving your job as a draft if you're crafting your job description on the website. You may also choose to create your job description on an external platform such as a Word document or Google document, then paste the information to the site to post. We hope you'll give us a chance again... read more

As a Veteran and small business owner I used ZipRecruiter to find job applicants for my restaurant. Their online platform does not show how much of my budget was spent and they charge on a daily basis which adds up quickly. Their customer service representative agreed with my frustration but said I have to "mentally keep a record of my budget" and check my credit card statement for charges. I was then blindsided by a $500+ charge This is not a transparent and friendly B2B transaction. It seems to be so misleading that it sme... read more

They are incredibly unethical and morally corrupt. They are only out for money and do not care about anything else.
