Do not get hooked by their fraudulent scam of "free" job posting.. by the time you get the first statement you will be paying over $600 or $16 a day.. no communications, I was not aware of any candidates applying for a job, lucky me I checked my charges. I feel that ZipRecruiter mislead me into a trap and I am not the only one.
I'd seen ZipRecruiter's advertising before, so I thought I would give them a try in looking for a new employee. I'm a small business owner and the $16/ day fee seemed steep for posting the job, but they offered a free trial so I felt secure moving forward. I thought the free trial was for 2 weeks, but it turned out to only be for 4 days- not a meaningful amount of time. We "cancelled" the service in June and again in August, still getting charged. Each time the website gave the impression that we had in fact cancelled.

I wish there was a zero star option! I should have come on here first. wow 1.09 rating great job! These guys set the website up so you think that you cancel the subscription but low and behold you do not. Until you find the hidden link like its Zelda or something. I tried 5x to cancel and kept getting notices. The candidates seemed like fake people hired from India or something not one had the right credentials and not one actually called me. I work for a staffing company and have used Ziprecruiter for 5 years. They used to be great. But the last 2 years have been anything but. Last year I had 50 job openings posted and in 5 days got over 350 applicants. In a middle of a pandemic! The same jobs posted for the same time period this year and I have 37 applicants. 1/10th of what they did last year. 18 of the ads have been viewed by no one! I keep getting job referrals sent to me, which is great. HOWEVER, all links are inoperable when I get further inquiries past the initial application. I have NO way to contact potential jobs! What's the point of this service if you can't reply to an interested party? Useless.

So I believe this company is scamming business owners now due to the pandemic and people not looking for job and them losing money. I have worked with this company for over 5 years and just this year after I paid over $1000, $1018 to be exact, a day after they took May money they cancelled my account and would not give me a reason why.
