Zip Recruiter is dishonest in using the word FREE for businesses to post a job. Read the fine print closely! There is a trial period and they will charge your card with no notification after an entire month at so many dollars/day (to the time of nearly $500 a month later). Their top competitor very honestly says "free for 3 days" in the same size font so you are aware you'll be charged. Atrocious experience with this terrible software. 1. Their login system is terrible and not user friendly in the slightest, each time I tried to log in it failed to recognize the same device and would deny the "CORRECT" password *** send an email separately to allow login. Terrible process. 2. Their algorithm is awful. At best, their suggestions barely matched parameters and at worst failed to meet them at all. 3. I am a senor electronics technician specializing in repair of hi end test equipment , developing test procedures, and training less experienced technicians. They keep sending me jobs for doing assembly. It would be like expecting a doctor to take a job as medical assistant,not to be confused with physician assistants. They take vital signs and a medical history, and have little or no special training. I have made several attempts to correct the situation but to no avail.

We are a plumbing company and had a specific need for a plumber with minimum of 3 years experience. We agreed to a trial subscription and notified zip recruiter we were not satisfied with their service. Zip recruiter sent us random job seekers with ZERO experience in plumbing. We thought our trial period had ended and did not have to pay them any money due to our dissatisfaction. We found an employee through a more reputable agency. I signed up in the beginning of the year a then canceled my free trail. Except that they didn't cancel it and they continued to charge me on a daily basis through the Corona shut down for 2.5 month. Since my credit card statements were going to the office and the office was closed I didn't catch this and in all they charged me over $2000.00 during a time NO ONE was looking for a job and NO ONE was hiring.
