Cheese grits, black beans and fried fish are staples in any soul food restaurant, and this kitchen prepares them in the most traditional way. The owners opened the Birmingham restaurant after success with a couple of other locations in Florida, and just like in the Sunshine State, you'll find simple dishes made with simple ingredients. Open for lunch and brunch only, come and order some chicken and waffles and wash it down with a sweet tea, it doesn't get any more quintessentially Southern than this.

I had the shrimp and grits for the umtenth time for lunch this past Thursday with some United Way Loaned Executive co-workers. It is my FAVORITE!!!!!! The staff is so nice and courteous. I enjoy the desserts �too! I will try the stuffed porkchop one day. Not a pork eater for real �. They made that pork hop holler on the board in the restaurant!!����TRYING THE FRIED TILAPIA ALSO!!!!!! The live �, Mrs/Ms. Sharon and pianist were � !!!!!!!!! Will be back and bringing some folks!!!!!
Their chicken & waffles is off the chain. My first time eating there. They're right up the street from where I work. I will be going back at lunchtime. #glutenfreefoods #niceatmosphere I love their Thursday night live music nights. They stay open late and we can listen to the beautiful sounds of some of Birmingham's locals.

I had a taste for chicken and waffles so bad. I googled who sells it and the first thing popped up was Yo Mamas!!!! When I tell u it was DELICIOUS!!!! The service was excellent. Best to believe I will b back for more!!!!
My wife and I love Yo Mama's! Delicious food that is also gluten free. Plus, it's the best service I've ever had. They remember us every time we come, and once even helped take care of our newborn daughter so her mom and I could enjoy a meal. Wish I could give 10 stars!
