The owners opened the Birmingham restaurant after success with a couple of other locations in Florida, and just like in the Sunshine State, you'll find simple dishes made with simple ingredients. Open for lunch and brunch only, come and order some chicken and waffles and wash it down with a sweet tea, it doesn't get any more quintessentially Southern than this.

Was in town for the Mercedes race. Stopped by Yo' Mama's, had the chicken & waffles with the homemade syrup. The waffle melted in my mouth. I would highly recommend this place. Staff is very friendly & the owner came over and chitchatted with us.
The food was amazing and we enjoyed are brunch to go! The gluten free pancakes have disappeared �� Thank you for letting us sale Girl Scout cookies there. We LOVE Yo Mamas !
The food was amazing!!! I had the hot wings and fries!! The customer service was excellent!! Very friendly staff. Comfortable and relaxing environment!!
My 11 year old has Celiac, so he is completely gluten free.... he absolutely loves Yo Mama's wings! We make several trips to Children's Hospital yearly for appointments and he always requests to eat here!!!
I've eaten here several times. I work downtown so normally I call in my orders to go. I've had the shrimp and fries before and that was ok. The peach cobbler was horrible (too much bread and not enough peach sauce; it doesn't have the usual cobbler crust that you may be used to either). I usually get their greens and macaroni but this time I tried the pork chop with the sides. It was extremely salty. So salty my mouth was burning and irritated.
