Cheese grits, black beans and fried fish are staples in any soul food restaurant, and this kitchen prepares them in the most traditional way. The owners opened the Birmingham restaurant after success with a couple of other locations in Florida, and just like in the Sunshine State, you'll find simple dishes made with simple ingredients. Open for lunch and brunch only, come and order some chicken and waffles and wash it down with a sweet tea, it doesn't get any more quintessentially Southern than this.

I have known the owner over 20 years. She has always served with a spirit of excellence. I know they are closed for the holidays but I want to wish my friend a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Birthday .

I literally love this place every time I order it’s always correct and the staff is so nice. The food is more than delicious and the menu is small just like a good one should be. They really have it together and they’re in my Top 5 of regular places I’ll go for breakfast!
Everytime I have guest to visit Birmingham , I always bring them here. The food is never a let down!!!!!!
