Trying to recover and gain access to an old email address but it seems that even with their "recover forgotten password" feature seems broken. I typed in the right security answer but am getting the run around of "Uh-oh...Looks like we can't recover your account online. Please visit our help site to get back in." but when you visit the help site you need to use your Yahoo ID account; that's the whole reason I visited the help section as per suggested?
Business response:
Yahoo has received the users request for help and will reach out to them via email.

Unfortunately, when I went to sign into my Yahoo Account, I was unable to log in due to a phone number that I no longer have access too that was linked to that email account. I was surprised to see that Yahoo doesn't provide any additional way to recover the account. The message that I received after clicking on "I don't have access to this account" stated "Looks like we can't recover your account online." The Yahoo help page further doesn't resolve my issues. I was recently hacked by a company posing to be Yahoo Help Support. I realized that this was suspicious when they said it would be $249.99 to resolve my issue. The person then tried to cut me a deal and reduced that price by $100. This was *** for email help. Since then, I have not been able to log into my account. My password **** I used is no longer correct. I have tried several ways to reset my password ** Yahoo.com with no resolution. The only method includes either an email address or phone number. When I input my email... read more
