so after years of not being able to log into my yahoo account, i finally have no other option but to log onto my account for verification. The verification was to be sent to my old phone number which i have no access too anymore so i called up customer support. They told me they COULD fix my issue right now BUT i needed to buy their tech support service before they would unlock my account. My account was compromised and the person locked me out and changed *** my ways to get back into it. I've contacted yahoo for help and *** I get is someone saying they can't do anything and they will escalate it to the engineering department (who doesn't have a phone number) and then I get an email asking for things that I've already provided and they don't help and just close the case saying i haven't contacted them in five days even though it is attached to *** the email traffic. Every time that I attempt to log in to my Yahoo account, I get an error message saying, "Sorry, we don't recognize this email." And every time that I attempt to recover my account using the correct information, I get this message: "Sorry, we don't recognize that email address or phone number." This has been going on since *** of 2019 and they expect me to pay for help when I can't even log in to my account? Such a disgrace of a company.
