I've been a Xoom customer for 10 years and I couldn't be happier. Thank God they allow people to lock into a low rate on their *********** bills here in California otherwise I would have of been stuck paying the $3.45 /therm that ********* was charging their customers in January, 2023. As long as you pay attention to your emails and renew your contact when your term ends it's a beautiful thing. Xoom Energy gives people choices and allows them to price protect themselves. Who doesn't want that?

I was double charged for $163.00 and the company has told so many LIES about refunding my money back to my account as a Senior Citizen. New customer here and not very impressed. Their prices may be competitive, but is it worth the hassle of going back 20 years in how you pay bills?1. Detailed bills are ONLY available if you have a paper copy mailed to you. You can see the balance in an email that they will send or on their payment portal but not a detailed bill. 2. If I could give 0 stars I would. Their customer service is a nightmare. After my year contract ended, I asked them if I would still be able to redeem my Xoom xtras. They said I would be able to redeem whatever points I had accumulated. However, right after the phone call, they deactivated my account. I called and asked them to speak with a supervisor and they said no. ALL supervisors were in a meeting and couldn't be available. What business doesn't let you speak with a supervisor? I signed up for Xoom because of the cheaper rate and supposedly they donate to animal rescues or something which i still need to look into. They also offered a $50 restaurant gift card and said the code would be emailed to me after 60 days of service. I asked about it twice and they said I would receive the email with the code. At 86 days of service I replied to them that I had still not received the code. They replied that they did not add it to the enrollment so I won't receive it. Loved them at first, until I moved. They don't let you transfer your GAS service. So I had to pay $100 to terminate my current policy. $50 to connect the new service WITH THE SAME COMPANY, on top of me losing my rate and it almost doubled!! That is a scam and specifically forcing patrons to spend more money and lose their current, "usually lower" rates. Terrible business practice, preying on families that can barely afford utilities now. Forcing them to start a new policy instead of just switching.

Xoom had ripped me off thousands of dollars. Their rates are two to three times higher than Consumers Energy.

Xoom is a scammer third party broker that price gouges / rips off elderly customers and others.They dont let you know when your contract has ended and put you on a month to month non regulated pricing witch is hundreds more dollars Monthly than just going thru the regular service providers like comed and people gas directly . This company has gone up in price every month. Rates changing every single time. I then was suppose to have a credit added to my account after the first **** and for the last 3 months it hasnt been added. Every time I call they tell me I have to wait till the next ****. This has been nothing but a nightmare company.
