I am disabled and was happy with **************** but when xoom energy resistive came to the house and diseased me by explaining that the price they quoted me was a bundle rate . The bundle rate was @ the same rate I was already at But it did not change it stay the same through out the cycle . BE AWARE of this companies contract. I DID NOT renew my contract with them any when they did not get a response from me they automatically put me on a variable rate contract, without my knowledge. They stated that this is what the original contract's terms read. I enrolled with them a few years ago and I have no idea where the "original contract" is to find those terms that gave them the right to enroll me without speaking to me first. I recently lost my Job and was far behind on a lot of bills trying to keep myself afloat. I had originally made a payment arrangement and received the bill and because i was still very much behind in bills, rent, car payment , insurance, water and electricity I needed just two extra days after the shut off notice to pay the bill just two days. In reviewing the recording of the customer's call with XOOM Energy's Customer Care Supervisor, we note the Supervisor remained professional throughout the conversation and did not act in a condescending manner, even when the customer became irate and used obscenities.

This company is horrible, I enrolled thru a so called company named ACN. Was told they had a fixed rate set for a year. Well little did I know that wasn't true. 1st 3 bills came in with a really low rate but after that was charged double the rate which is much higher than AEP. February bill came at $900, March at $399 and now April also $300. For a place that I've lived in for the past 11 yrs and never had to pay those amounts it's ridiculous. I liked to share my experience so it wont happen to others. An employee from xoom came to my door and requested to see my electric bill so i did and he mentioned he needed to update. I was especific enough to let him know to not change the supplier because i had a contract for 2 years and i wanted to stay the same so he insisted that he would only update thats it no change everything the same. I did not realize that Xoom Energy was my supplier for just about a year. That is my fault but that is not the problem. The problem is I personally never authorized the change in my gas utility. I called Xoom but they would not speak to me until a verification process was completed (my security information was incorrect).
