I booked a room months ago and was notified they are overbooked... this is terrible!! Shame on you!

Booked a room two and a half months ago for a convention at the end of June. I received an email stating that the convention promoter overbooked the hotel and that my room had been canceled. When I called TWICE to inquire about it, I was given the runaround, transferred to numerous people, but in all cases the issue was blamed on the convention. Now, after being called out on it, the hotel has retracted that and issuing a lame form "apology" to everyone who complains. Too little too late. The hotel made the mistake and as a ... read more

Canceling rooms because THEY overbooked it and trying to blame The Days of The Dead convention for their own mistakes! Thank goodness The Days of the Dead staff stepped up when this hotel wouldn't, and actually took care of people! A hotel that was once fantastic now taken over by new management has been nothing but a headache for con goers, and it looks like the con staff as well! It appears that when the old management of the hotel left....so did any sense of the new people being competent hospitality staff. They act like ... read more

I reserved a room months ago for Days of the Dead only to get an email that they overbooked and my reservation was cancelled. I travel around the country going to conventions, and stay in a lot of hotels. I've never had anything like this happen before. I've spent all day scrambling and it feels like the convention is being blamed instead of the hotel taking responsibility for this huge error. I'm deeply disappointed.

Very disappointed! Two of my friends and I booked a room here months ago and are now being told our reservation has been cancelled. We volunteer for this show and come from out of state and staying off site is incredibly problematic. Parking becomes a nightmare among other logistical issues that arise from not having a room on site. More than saying a room has been cancelled it would be nice to be offered something for the incredible headache this has caused three of your guests.

I made a reservation for Days of the Dead and out of nowhere they cancelled my room. They also blamed Days of the Dead. After contacting Days of the Dead i found out this was not true and that the hotel in fact cancelled the reservation. Thankfully the Days of the Dead staff worked throughout the day to resolve the issue. Very poor business practice by the Wyndham.

I made a reservation 2 months ago so we could attend an event at the same hotel. Today I received an email cancelling my reservation because the "event promoter" required additional rooms? Seriously? I contacted the event page and they said they did no such thing. Now all hotels are booked in the area and we have no place to stay. I will be out the money for the tickets to the event.
