They have the absolute worst customer service ever. Customer advocacy is a complete joke and no matter how big or small your issue is, they WILL NOT help you. If you have any other options do not use this bank.

Woodforest is constantly slow on taking money out of your account, sometimes even weeks late that leads to account balances being misleading when you use online banking. Because of them I’ve racked up hundreds of dollars in negative balances during the pandemic because they like to charge a $32 fee every single time something is withdrawn, even if just a couple dollars. I can't count how many times this bank has disabled my card for "suspected fraud" without notifying me....and every time I get stranded at a gas station or checkout at a store with a card that's not working. Far too many times I've had to have someone bring me cash to get gas because they decided to screw me over by disabling my card and not notifying me. I'm dropping this bank just as soon as I can
I work for a bank and I know that ACH Batches were released on January 4, 2020. I were hung up on several times and I asked several times for a supervisor and also I wanted to do a chairman compaint. I were talked to very disrespectful. This bank is terrible to do business with and I kept the chats when I would do a live chat. Disrespectful at the lowest. Do not lie to your customers.

AVOID THIS BANK AT ALL COSTS. When my credit score was poor they were my only option and I was grateful that they would open an account with me. Then I got in a tough spot where I went into what I thought was overdraft protection, but turns out they changed that to a $500 credit line and forged my e-signature. I was making payments on that, but not fast enough apparently, and they let me know my account was closed AFTER accepting a $125 deposit. Woodforest should be ashamed of themselves for how they treat their customers. I have banked with them for about 4.5 years. Out of not wanting to switch up my direct deposit I stuck it out. Up until november my only major issue is I would call them put in a travel notice and get to the destination and my card would still not work. I opened an account with Woodforest in May of this year. I finally decided to trust them with my money... so I started doing direct deposits. My first direct deposit came the day before Thanksgiving. I had over $1,000 in my acct before I made a withdrawal of $600. The next day on Thanksgiving I saw another deposit of 1,088.67. I thought my job paid me twice. If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Woodforest banks customer service is unsupportive, condescending and this bank will not work with you to resolve issues of their creation. I had a direct deposit that was posted by my company but did not hit my bank account and Woodforest has given me the run around about addressing the issue for months.
