hidden fees , and not one word about those fees when opening an account , fees in total of 25 dollars for closing my savings account before 180 days were up because they took out 3.00 dollars for a piece paper they sent me telling me i needed to sign up for emails only , which also cost another 3.00 because my account dropped below the 200.00 dollar minimum , this bank is using anyway they can to scam people with fees that keep stacking , and i was told when i opened the savings account there were NO HIDDEN FEES , that is si... read more

Posted my direct deposit Thursday afternoon. Made $191.26 in payments. Friday morning my pay isn't on the ledger, I'm in the negative $191.26. I call the bank and get a supervisor of who proceeds to tell me that she doesn't see the direct deposit and that the $191.26 was overdraft protection THAT I NEVER REQUESTED. Additionally, I don't use checks; only my debit card of which SHE advised does not have overdraft protection. Now. My account is in overdraft. I've had an acct with this bank for over 10 years and over the past year they have had horrible customer service. They have terribly long wait times when calling and even when sending an email to customer relations it takes them 48 hrs to respond. I'm so done with Woodforest National Bank.

I have a checking account there. It is the world of covid and we buy most things online. They keep shutting off my debit card causing the grocery store to call for another form of payment completely embarrassing me. I will be pulling my money from here because they have made things super inconvenient. Terrible bank.

My grandma past away last year in October and I have been trying to get her money its much but its her I took them all the papers they needed from the death certificate Power of attorney and everything I have bank with them for 5+years and they don't like to help nobody at all. I'm just going to find me a bank care cause Woodforest don't give ****about nothing. I just want to get done with them

My father had an account at Woodforest. When he passed, I called to let them know and I was told at that time there was no beneficiary listed on his account (he did not have a will and was not married). I was told my sibling and I would get the balance in his account since we were considered the heirs to his estate. I provided the bank the necessary paperwork (death certificate, funeral bill, etc). Woodforest sucks they do not offer any protection on unauthorized charges. They denied my claim and won't give me my money back. Don't open an account with them

I have been a customer for probably 8 years…and I was screwed over 2x in the last 2 weeks by Woodforest. Let me throughly explain. First time, my debit card got hit for fraudulent charges, they don’t call me, I don’t get an email or anything!!! Just to find out it was closed WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE and they decided to cancel the debit card, over a $0.0 charge!!!! Not even a call, or email. Which was embarrassing to say the least. June 1, 2021 Amanda and William are the only two left at this Bank. The others jumped ship for other jobs. But with the team of Amanda and William you have No Worries. You are well taken care of.
