According to my bank records, I paid a final bill over a year ago. August 2020 a collection shows up on my credit report. I have attempted to contact Windstream repeatedly to either pay or find out what the bill is about. Windstreeam says it is a "bill for service" but is unable to to explain because the account is closed. Ultimately I was left with the choice of paying the collection or continuing to let it mar my credit. Horrible lack of customer service!!! When they don't know what to do your call will be "dropped."
Tried to cancel my service today and over the course of 20 calls i got an answer twice after being on hold over 35 minutes combined and was hung up on both times. Just called my bank to stop all Windstream debits. Can't wait to see my final bill from these crooks. NEVER AGAIN. I will be calling the BBB.
Internet speed is very slow. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The last 2 days 5 different phone numbers from California, area code 408, have been calling to tell me that my iCloud account has been compromised by someone in Russia or Romania. She wanted me to log in on my laptop and she would help me run a security scan. She said it couldn't be done on a cell phone or tablet and it had to be a "big" one. Have tech that is honest and real. "Frank" (not a chance his given name) didn't feel like helping. He hung up on me. I figured it out on my own eventually. What a jerk!
You guys have had a node going down constantly. It’s been reporting a constantly rising and alarming rate of packet loss for over 2 months now. What started out at 10% has now escalated to 61% and rising. This test is done hourly and overnight and the packet loss is static. What does this do? Cause major issues with connections specifically gaming. Imagine playing and spiking all over the place. As a business you are required to provide quality service. Nothing but issues with this company. They know we work from home so having no internet or telephone takes food right out of our mouths. Repairman supposed to show up before 6pm today. He has 3 more minutes. Last time we had issues, it was 3 days. i spoke to a supervisor, who gave me a fake name.....it was the worst.
