I placed an order for a Furlicious Faux- Fur lounger on November 27th. It was the only item my 7 year old wanted for Christmas, so I placed the order early to ensure that it arrived in plenty of time. Furniture delivery was a horrible experience with multiple excuses and reporting that they could not fulfill appointments because their “truck would shut down” if he worked past the 8 hour shift. Customer service is a joke and supervisors refuse to be available to customers using customer service representatives as mediators. Hold times in excess of 1 hour and being hung up on after holding for hours is an unacceptable way to run the company. Careful in being lured into the West Elm discount and delivery date promises. Making as many sales as they can on paper is more important than actual customer satisfaction and delivery of products. I ordered a couch (custom material) in early October on the promise that it would be delivered by Christmas with estimated delivery on receipt to be between 12/7 and 12/21/17, which fell between the 8-10 weeks from purchase, as stated in store (and online). I can't imagine a worse customer experience. I've been a Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn customer for decades and will never shop there again after a recent sofa purchase. I've reached out to senior leadership of the company because I believed if they had any idea of the customer experience and plummeting brand reputation, they would make massive changes. Love their products but heaven forbid you sign up for marketing emails. They will SPAM you to death with up to 10 emails a day. Then when you opt out they refuse to honor the opt out and for weeks more you will continue to receive their marketing emails. I opted out three weeks ago TWICE! AND I CONTINUE TO GET SPAMMED BY THEM. SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICE.
I ordered an air fryer on December 21 and was told that if I pay the 2 day air fare of $ 17.50 then it would be guaranteed for Friday, December 23rd. I started with Williams Sonoma, happy, open and optimistic as it was my first time working from home in a Customer Service position. I quickly realized this would not always be the case when I entered their Adobe chat room for training and any and all superior employees began bullying, as a means to train new employees. Ordered a gift card on 12/6 - my credit card was charged on 12/7. Shipped on 12/7. Never received the gift card. After 6 e-mails, 3 phone calls, customer service states they will credit my card in 10 days. If they can charge my card in 24 hours - why can't they refund me within the same time frame. Most upsetting experience I have ever had. Will never utilize this business again.
I returned item weeks ago and have not received a refund. There were at least 14 business days between when they received my return (confirmed by UPS and a William Sonoma Rep) and I have yet to receive almost $700. I have talked to 3 customer service representatives, who seem helpful. They all say they are resolving the matter and issuing a refund but then I hear nothing and the money has not appeared back on my card.
