We purchased a queen sized mid-century modern bed frame (acorn) from West Elm in September of 2014. Delivered on 11/15/2014. We paid for in home delivery and set up, so none of the following can be considered customer error. We had been having issues with weird sounds for a few months. I accidentally ordered four pillow covers instead of 2 online. When I noticed the error, I contacted customer service. The rep was very rude to me and refused to let me speak with a manager after he told me that he could not change or cancel my order. He stated I would need to wait and return it to my local store after receiving them in the mail. I waited, and took two back to the store. I have a new home and have ordered several items from this company and their family of products. The furniture in particular and PB Teen is the reason I write. They advertise products that they don't have in stock and wont for many months. They bill your credit card multiple times and it is impossible to track which I think is their strategy. And they dont inform you when a product is backordered further.
I purchased much of the furniture in my home from west elm with no issues. I had an issue with the Peggy sectional that was raised by others and published in a refinery 29 article. I exchanged emails with the media lead and reached what I thought was a fair solution in may of 2017. They were to send a new sectional because I could not be without a sofa. This will be my first and last time ordering online from PBTeen, a subsidiary of Williams Sonoma. I have never been so disappointed in a company as I am with PBteen and their delivery company that delivered my purchase. We ordered 2 bed frames and mattress sets 4 months ago. Every step of the way has been terrible. We've made countless phone calls and we still don't have all the parts. The bed slats don't fit and today they gave us the option to bring them somewhere to have them cut to size. It's unbelievable.
Terrible experience with West Elm in Philadelphia. Our bed was "lost" in shipment and once they "found" it the delivery team only had 2/3 of the pieces and also damaged our walls and carpeting. This has been the worst service we have ever received and are so upset. It still has not been resolved.
I submitted a 1 star review yesterday of Pottery Barn Teen. After I submitted the review, I was able to get through to someone in customer service who was able to help me get a full refund. It took me over a week to finally get through to someone who knew what they were doing and made good on their word. They also followed it up with a gift card to make up for the serious inconvenience and lack of customer service I experienced dealing with Pottery Barn Teen. Thank you, Ann!
