DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!! And by "here" I mean specifically WEST ELM but William & Sonoma is the parent company along with Pottery Barn and they all share the same useless, apathetic customer service resources. Their bottom line is the only thing important at the expense of the customer. I usually like to think that bad reviews are the exception and not the norm but all the reviews are right, please take a minute and read the comments on this page and then go to any other store. Absolutely awful communication and customer service. No actual information regarding shipping/ delivery; hold times > 25 minutes; placating the customer instead of fixing the problem.

The e-mail I received and the information from the store indicated that it would be available for delivery June 5. With the chairs delivery date July 5th. I would highly recommend NOT ordering from this company. I am a professional designer that works with several companies. I worked for three weeks designing 2 vacation properties and had 79 items in my cart. When I went to process my order, my whole order was gone and I had to start over again. (This was not that big of a deal for me because I can handle stressful situations that sometimes happen from computer glitches. My girlfriend and I purchased a bed from a West Elm outlet store. When we went to check out we were asked if we wanted to purchase slats to go with the bed and we agreed. After putting the bed together we realized that the slats were the wrong size. We knew that the outlet had closed so we called the corporate customer service number. After being transferred 4 times and explaining our situation 4 times we finally found someone that told us that they could not replace our slats but they could charge us for the right size. Usually I would have nothing but good things to say about Williams Sonoma, however, yesterday changed my mind. They advertised a product online at a deep discount. I purchased the product. I received an email today claiming that the price was incorrect and cancelling the order. However, many other companies would honor the price and accept the mistake.

I purchased a console table 06/2017. On 04/2018 I noticed paint chipping and pealing off. I called Pottery Barn to see if they can replace it since it's been 9 months and the product quality if failing. They said that paint chipping after this long is "normal wear and tear" I disagreed, if I wanted a cheap product I would have bought an almost identical console on **** and main for $199. I bought it from Pottery Barn because they claim to have good quality. I want my console table replaced.

I have ordered several furniture and other pieces and paid only to have items arrive damaged or not at all and then issued a merchandise credit instead of money back. Items are on back order for 4-6 months and they do nothing to help keep customers. Every order, I've had to call to resolve an issue. I've even been given merchandise cards for much less than my return price and they would have basically stolen my money if I hadn't kept a detailed eye on the process. Do not do business with this company.

I had a horrible experience with my king bed purchase. It will be four months since I have bought the bed because of they’re poor “inventory tracking.” I have received emails from them stating that they have the bed and want to schedule a delivery. Two days before my delivery was supposed to occur, I received a voicemail stating that they still don’t have the bed and it was an inventory error. I spoke to the customer service supervisor to try to determine what the EXACT cause was for the delay and she was just repeating that... read more
