I am 70 years old and been in retail since I was 16. NEVER in my life have I had worse service than at Pottery Barn. They lie and they DO NOT stand behind their merchandise!! I spent $2500. On a sectional and after 6 months it looked awful. After MANY phone calls they did nothing to help, but they did discontinue the fabric that I bought 6 months later!! Find that very interesting! I would recommend that no one buy upholstered furniture from them!!!
I called Williams Sonoma four times to try and ascertain what brands were included/excluded with regards to the 20% discount given when approved for a Williams Sonoma credit card. Each time I called I received a different answer. One customer representative stated that the brands excluded are the same excluded for the promos listed on their website. Another rep stated that if the brand isn't specifically listed as an exclusion on the credit card page of their website then it is included (this is what the answer should be!). ... read more
They sent 2 defective chairs. I sent pictures and asked for a refund. After a couple of emails asking me what I want to do, they finally complied and agreed to a refund except they asked us to bring the defective stools to ***. Does this sound like a reasonable request? Or that you care about your customers. This is furniture -- they're heavy. Yet I am supposed print out my return slips (send me return slip for goodness sake!), carry the furniture from my 5th floor apartment, carry them to my car, carry them to *** and only ... read more
I ordered a piece of furniture in early May. I was told the furniture would be delivered in 4-6 weeks. It is now near the end of July and I still have not received the furniture. I have contacted customer service at least 10 times and they have all been different people offering misleading or incorrect information.
West Elm is a complete joke. I've paid for my order **********over a month ago and I am yet to receive my furniture. I keep being told to wait for 2-5 business days and the delivery will contract me. This has been going on for over a month. I would like to receive the furniture that I've paid for. On a separate matter, but also with West Elm, they have sold me a defective table. I got a letter in the mail that there was a recall on the table and to stop using it immediately. This was in March. It is now mid-July and I still ... read more
The Customer Care Department of the corporate office should change its name to the "Customer I Don't Care" Department. I have an issue I need to discuss with them concerning Pottery Barn. I have left voicemail messages daily for the past 4 days and am still waiting for a return call. Shame on them!
I just wasted over an hour speaking to West Elm customer service trying to get my couch delivered by the date that I was promised. I am so completely fed up with the terrible service that West Elm/William Sonoma offers. I will never shop West Elm, or any William Sonoma brand, again. This is a true shame, because I purchased West Elm for my last apartment and buy William Sonoma products regularly. So let’s start from the beginning of this saga that has dragged me through the weeds now for six weeks. The first couch I ordered ... read more
I buy from Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn (regular, teen, and kids), and West Elm all the time, but my purchase back on February 10th 2018 will be my last purchase. I purchased the Tivoli Large Console Table knowing it would be backordered till July 30th. I accepted that. On 5/16/18 I received a phone call stating my table was ready for delivery and to schedule a date to have my table delivered. Of course, excitedly, I called back and scheduled for the ONLY available date: June 23rd 2018. While I accepted this date I did info... read more
I met with a designer and ordered a large amount of furniture on May 23, 2018. Most of the items were not custom items and were in the NKC warehouse within a week or two. Our credit card was billed as soon as each items was shipped from the various warehouses around the nation to NKC. Because the 5 items in the white glove delivery were trickling in around two weeks from each other, a courtesy delivery was not allowed since it had to be at least three weeks apart. Now we are at June 27th and my credit card has been billed fo... read more
