Pottery barn does a great job with marketing their products but beyond that........quite honestly the worst company I have ever dealt with. After ordering a chair 2 months ago, it was slated to be delivered a month later. Delivery scheduled, and the morning of delivery the chair was a no show. After contacting them I was told they were *building it form scratch*. After a month of no communication I followed up twice, finally a response that they'd deliver this mysterious chair and contact me within 72 business hours. They didn't. Ordered a slip covered couch and chair from Pottery Barn in September 2017- expected to wait the 12 weeks they stipulate on the website. It has been 23 weeks and per customer service I will probably receive my furniture by March 2018- furniture that i have already paid for in full. I am extremely disappointed and have seen similar complaints on their facebook page. If I would have read these before ordering I would have ordered else where. Customer service has listened patiently but offered no ability to expedite my order.
Horrible customer service even at the corporate level. Cannot even issue a return label for a damaged item they want to have sent back to their warehouse for inspections etc. Separately, we have dealt with preexisting issues on 10 different items that arrived damaged had manufacturing flaws or were improperly assembled stripping the screws. After order service is virtually non-existent. I experienced long wait times, a hang up and a 49 minute wait (on January 18 at 8:30 pm EST...and counting...I'm persistent) trying to call into a manager to complain about delayed delivery times. It's best not to deal with this company. Their pricing and product line suggest they are a premium company offering the best possible experience. They fail miserably!
Prepaid a sofa with tax/fee/shipping in the amount of $2,300 five months ago; sofa never delivered; not got notified with order being cancelled! I bought a sofa from Pottery Barn store in South point shopping mall in September 2017. Terrible. This is a good marketing company, but that's where it stops. They charged me >$200 for S&H on a media system that cost me $2,000. One would expect that, for that type of price and surcharge, that it would come assembled. Nope. It came in 4 different shipments over the course of a week. I now have 10 heavy boxes staring at me in my garage. This is an over-priced Ikea trying to **** itself off as a competitor Restoration Hardware.
Pottery Barn Teen, which is a part of William and Sonoma listed many products on their website at a low cost. An employee helped me purchase one of their products and then Pottery Barn sent an email stating that they would not be honoring the prices listed on their website and canceling my order. Ordered a loft bed that was showing at a huge discount as well. They cancelled my order saying it was priced incorrectly. Called in and spoke to a first level customer service rep who gave me the same BS answer, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. This is where it gets fun.
