I have never been so disappointed in a company as I am with Williams Sonoma, Inc. and their delivery company, MXD, on behalf of my experience with Pottery Barn. I ordered an expensive leather chair mid-May 2017 because the website said it would take 10+ weeks for delivery, and I needed it to be delivered at the end of July/beginning of August. Completely disgusted that I spent $4K on a matching set of PB Whitney office furniture, and they don't have replacement file drawer hardware so I can continue to use their furniture after moving company lost mine.
I have ordered 5 pieces of furniture from Pottery Barn and 1 rug. Their fulfillment proess should be considered criminal. They allow things to go on back order for months and they continue to push back their expected delivery date. I ordered my curtains in June, wont ge them until January, at least that is what they say today. It will probably get pushed back. WEST ELM-- We ordered a couch in August of 2016. The first delivery was scheduled in November (at the very end of estimated time frame), however 1/3 of sectional couch had been manufactured in the incorrect color fabric. Additionally a second part of the couch had flaws and needed to be re-made. Specifically with westelm.*** and their ability to update stock and inventory accurately in real-time for their consumers. I have tried countless times to purchase multiple items on their site that show as in stock and ready to purchase, but end up being out of stock, final sale, and not going to be restocked. In March of 2017, I ordered an engraved flask on Williams Sonoma's website for my friend's birthday in April. I was notified that the flask would ship on April 18, just in time for her birthday. This store should inform customers that when you purchase a product online that it is not fully guaranteed to it will ship in a reasonable amount of time or better yet it may not be available at all (months aftet order was placed). This is YET ANOTHER PROBLEM with Williams Sonoma! Yesterday I placed an order with customer service after online issues. Two items total of $72.00. I had a $20.00 gift card from one of 2 previous orders and asked for the free shipping over $50.00. W/tax total was verified as $57.04. Rec'd their confirmation of order, total is $77.04.
