I love the VA in Wilkes Barre they seen my dad for the first time and he has hearing aids on the way pretty amazing ppl up there including the veterans thank you guys for all u done and are going to be doing
they are charging me for stuff i didnt get office apts i never had, no one answers the phone anywhere in the place, screwed up my ID card, hospital stay food was so horrendous that i never ate it, had to have my husband bring me food, how can you get better without eating? sending my secondary insurance checks back to me, no one will answer the phone as to why, even the director lied to the Senator's office, which i complained to will never go here again i reported them to the Atty Gen office you get nothing but a run around... read more
I changed to VA medical last year,I had heard so many horror stores,that I never used the VA.Wilkes -Barre VA hospital,Tobyhanna Clinic are the best.having being struck down with MS 2&1/2 years ago, I am getting the best treatmentavaible(in lot of ways better than the private sector). My MS specialist at the Philly VA hospital.the Drs & Nurses are the best there,but the support staff sucks!! They act like they are doing you a favor & a lot of them are down right rude!!
Adjusted hearing aids, very efficient and curtious
My daughter lives nearby and every time I come to visit her for some reason or another I ended up here, last time was with an sprained wrist from shoveling snow (we Florida veterans), and now I left half of my medications, no matter what the situation is there will go the extra mile to make sure your taken care of to the best of their abilities. While I am there about 3 days a week anyway, the pain clinic still has no concept of an appointment time. I realize it is probably the most busy clinic in the hospital, they need to work on getting the patients in closer to their appointment time and not 30 to 45 mins after their scheduled appointment.
I wish the staff at Wilkes-Barre VA could travel to Tampa FL At the James Haley VA and know hi ow to give support snd Service to Veteran's they also need more American Dr's not that some of them are bad, My Primary Dr is gonna be more request put in for new Primary Care Dr
Back in the late 70,s , we witness some of the worse verbal treatment of our Vets there....and my husband never wanted to return ...but approximately 7 years ago we returned for various reasons and have been so impressed and have been on the receiving end of great care , prompt doctor visits and helpful staff through out this entire facility.... Not sure the problems with other VA ,s but they really REALLY need to follow Wilkes Barre, PA. example.!!!!
