I would like to give less than one star for a rating! I have been working on a refund for my aunt's estate since March. I've been through HIPPA, Covid, proof of testamentary, death certificate, etc. I finally received a check. After I deposited it, they stopped payment on it without notifying me. Not only, did my WellCare ride not show up to take me to my dentist (where I had a bridge waiting; meanwhile, I couldn't EAT!) and wellcare did nothing to fix it; the same thing happened, the next month AND the month after that. I just paid $241 for a tube of prescribed skin cream that was "Covered" and cost a lot less on the Medicare enrollment site. I have also been recently denied another medication prescribed by my Doctor! They want me to go back to my Doctor and tell him to prescribe something else! The website offers no prescription history and costs / coverage for me and when I typed this complaint out - twice - it would not "send" or accept. Wellcare it's self is ok. There customer service is the worst thing in the world. I went to use my visa wellcare card to pay to fix my glasses they said my card was expired. It took 3 months to make my card work. I paid to get my glasses fixed. They told me to send the **** i did in may of july of last year. Still no check . every time i call them they could not find my membership. Every customer service can barley speak english. And the ones that do are reading a script and never let you get a word on. This WellCare Part D drug program has got to be the worst program. The customer service is terrible they lie, they blame issues on Medicare they act like they will solve your issue, Had to involve Maximus. They result was found favorable for us, WellCare needs to adjust the premium. WellCare tries to blame Medicare, which was not true. Still waiting more that 5 months for WellCare to make adjustment as there was never a late enrollment. Shame on Wellcare buyer beware.

Needed a therapist for ptsd and sleep problems. Not a single therapist in Dayton, OH or its suburbs accepted Wellcare. I can understand if I lived in the country, but this is a big city with many suburbs. So the doctor prescribed me medication which wellcare denied. Called customer service, got transferred 5 times then they hung up. Called again, same thing. The Flex card and otc benefits are just smoke and mirrors. 3 times Wellcare claims that automatic Payments from Social Security failed to process and guaranteed the next would work. Called Social Security and they say it is WellCare that is the problem. Each time it means that the account is about to be cancelled for non payment. After calling it goes through the same run around..

The insurance company refused to pay for Glargine insulin--a standard of care for most patients who need more than Metformin. I paid $295 for a vial of this long acting insulin. I need only one shot each day--not multiple shots of a shorter acting insulin. My pain management physician recently ordered a pain and muscle spasm drug for me. It is an old generic medication. The Insurance Co. won't pay for it. I am a physician, I certainly won't recommend this insurance company (not even to an enemy).

I've never even heard of wellcare and suddenly this morning I get 30 calls and 30 voice messages from their number starting from 5 a.m. Each voice message is just endless beeping so I had to look up who was actually calling, it's very infuriating. I had to call to get my number removed, and I don't know how they got it in the first place.
