This is about WellCare prescription plan. Every drug they have denied needed authorization. The Dr filled out the form and still were denied. One drug is to keep me alive during dialysis treatment. In my opinion check out other prescription plans as it is my experience no drug is ever given an override. Again this is my opinion.

Good Afternoon, The plan has spoken to the complainant on behalf of his medications being covered under the plan. After review, the medications are covered under his plan as well as he has been advised of the applicable copays.
Worst company ever. I have never been treated so poorly. I would cut off my own arm to be able to get out of another year with them. Beware. I was left in tears with no answers and the woman helping me was laughing and making awful remarks to my concerns. I needed to get a refill early first time ever, birth control. She said that I should call 911 and started laughing.
I have been trying to enroll in the auto mail program for over a week. Each time I'm put on hold for over 30 minutes. Yesterday I decided to wait it out and was on hold for 30 minutes only to find out I had to be transferred to the CVS department. Another 30 minute wait but at least it was not an offshore voice that helped me. I was told to contact my GP and for them to send the scrips I needed to WellCare. Hello The plan verified the issue, Members provider submitted a prescription to Mail order department received on 01/14/20. Member order was mailed out same day and delivered on 01/16/20, member has received. The plan spoke to member on 01/17/20 to apologize and address her concern. We did advised the plan can not process a prescription with out provider submitting the script. I advised our team was able to get with her provider and get the medication processed. Member understood and satisfied
My suggestion to other people is Stay Away from this company!!!! I am on Medicare and was set up with Anthem PDP. I was very happy with the way Anthem handled my PDP coverage. Then Medicare enrolled me into WellCare PDP. It is now December 18h 2019. The paperwork that WellCare sent me says that my coverage starts on January 1st 2020 and that I owe WellCare $34.60. Writing as a provider. This insurance company refuses to give clear answers why a claim is being rejected. CSR states they have limited information and can not answer any of my questions. Just keeps wanting to refer me to a website. Asked to speak to a manger to see if they could help and CSR kept refusing to transfer me stating no one else is available to speak to. No EOB received through mail, automated system is awful, customer service is even worse and rep was very difficult to understand. I would give zero stars to this... read more
I just prayed for all these people and as always I research everything to do with my husband healthcare and report to authorities of illegal acts. This is plan that has been taken over by my husband previous plan for this next year. Thank you everyone who posted their disgust in this plan now I know not to let this plan take effect. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY BY FAR REGARDING MEDICARE PART D. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH AND STILL I CAN NOT GET AN APPROVAL FOR 5MG CIALIS FOR PROSTATE. MY DOCTOR HAS FAXED OVER TO WELLCARE THE AUTHORIZATION FORM MARKED URGENT AND THE REASON I NEED THE RX. NOTHING FROM WELLCARE, NO CALLS, NO EMAILS, NOTHING. The plan has looked into the complaint and has resolved the issue. There was an error with pharmacy claims processing. The member is now able to obtain medications. The member has been contacted and advised to pick up medication.
If I could give "0" stars and still leave a comment I would. I just got off the phone with the Medicare section of Well care, beyond poor customer service. I was on hold for approximately 39 minutes only to be greeted by a lady whose English was so poor it was ridiculous. It's bad enough when you call your business you have to try to make sense to the robot your forced to quibble with, then comes someone with either little training and poor English. I JUST SPENT HALF AN HOUR TRYING TO GET WELLCARE TO CHARGE ME ONLY FOR MONTHS BEFORE I CANCELLED. THEY ADMIT MY CANCELLATION LETTER ARRIVED FEB 7, BUT STILL FEEL I SHOULD PAY THROUGH NOW. NO RESOLUTION
