Typical Poor Food and Wannabe Servers – Where's my Adega?! This sad representation of Italian food is an extreme let down. This doesn't come near Adega (the previous restaurant in the location). They make it look like a top level restaurant but its all looks and that's it. Sauces were okay but not great and the veal was tough. Rude service, cheap quality in food, and no where near Adega's standards. I know Denver wants its Adega back!
3 Visits and Counting – Personally, I really like this restaurant. It has a great wine list, authentic food and a great atmosphere. I have been there three times and plan to return for a fourth, fifth The service can take a while, but if you are not in a rush, want a great meal and dont mind spending a little on it, then this is a great place to visit.
Unbeliveably bad experience – Had a reservation for Saturday night and should have left when the waiter apologized before he took our order that the service was going to be really slow. Sat for 20 minutes before he came back to get our order, he discouraged us from several menu items because they would take even longer, 10 more minutes to get water and bread, 1 1/4 hour after being seated we paid for our wine and walked out since we had not even seen our appys yet.
Lipstick on a pig – Went to the Downt town location. Still has the look of the previous Adega. Thats where the similarities stop. Cold bland food. Pushy wait staff. I've had better meals at the Olive Garden... And I don't eat at the Olive Garden unless forced to. Still weeping over the loss of Adega.
Lunch - Dinner - Happy Hour - Late Night Drinks – We have found our dinning Haven. Great food, wine, decor, and service. The Chefs are great and very passionate about their food. Mix this with fact the General Managers are two of Denver's Old School Restauraters who have been at the top places since the Mid 80's and you have a wonderful evening to remember. Do not be fooled by the price of the Italian wines, they will blow the socks off of some of the more expensive California wines and they have plenty of it to pour. If you... read more
Very Good! – I had a very good experience. The service was good. The wine list was excellent. I was also offered a tour of their very cool wine cellar by their wine steward. The menu is large, but not overly-so. Food was great! It was a little cramped, but it has a great big city feel to it. I look forward to going back. MAKE RESERVATIONS!
Absolutely dreadful – I thought this place sounded good, so we made a Sat night reservation for two. We got there on time and were told that there wasn't a table available yet, but we could wait in the bar. I was a little surprised that there wasn't an apology, or a estimated time until a table was ready, but I brushed it off and went to the bar. After about 10 minutes someone asked if we would like a drink, we ordered wine, finished our wine and still no table. We waited an HOUR with a reservation, then the table we sat at ... read more
Well-known local Italian restaurateur brings branch of popular Greenwood Village restaurant to LoDo. – In Short Hardwood floors and white table cloths give the restaurant an upscale feeling. Though the dining area seats 140, it is usually packed with LoDo hipsters. Sicilian-born chef Allesandro Carollo's menu features designer dishes like the osso busco alla Milanese--a delectable veal shank braised in mushrooms in a wine sauce. Another popular dish is the capellacci di zucca-- ravioli filled with butternut squash and parmes... read more
Eat before you go! Don't expect much service. – You will never in your life have an opportunity to pay so much for so little as you will in this way over-rated establishment. Read the common themes in the reviews....poor service (arrogant is an understatement), portions so small you think they are playing a joke on you, and you pay a small fortune for the pleasure. I was invited guest and dined at the private table in the kitchen. If you think the waiters look unhappy in the dining rooms, you can see why in the kitchen. Nobo... read more
