Not Hungry & Won the Lottery? Eat Here. – Perhaps if I had a microscope I'd be able to see the portions on my plate. One bite and the meal was gone, so commenting on the taste is pretty impossible. Service was mediocre, and ambiance was plain. No candles on the tables, brighter lighting, and bland decor. 2 appetizers, 2 meals, and one of the cheaper bottles of wine on the menu came to over $160 for 2 people. I'd recommend dining there only if you plan on going to McDonald's on the way home.
Absolutely Wonderful Eating! – My Date and I were exhausted by the end of the night from the stimulation our tastebuds received. We had panseared fois gras w/ sweetbreads (magnificent!). I had Sable w/ orchietta pasta. For Desert I tried a 3 way Blue cheese plate w/ a tawny port. I couldn't finish the port and this meal will definitly last me a 6 months in terms of experience. Service was perfect.
Manhattan style/Manhattan prices – I have absolutely no complaints; food, service, decor, and selection were excellent, but people should know that you will indeed pay for what you get, and that is fine as long as you are aware of this beforehand.
One of Denver's very best – I have eaten at Adega twice, and both times the food was outstanding. As a NYC transplant and restaurant lover, I can say that Adega isn't just a great restaurant for Denver. This restaurant would be great in any city in this country. One of the Best, so far – I have lived in this area less than a year and have tried many restaurants, but still have many more to go. So far this ranks tied with one other, Barolo Grill. We have been here several times and I have not one complaint with food, service, atmosphere, wines, price, etc. The only thing negative I can think of is that on occasion we have been unable to get a reservation when we wanted. Snotty – Adega is a wonderful addition to Lodo . . . too bad its maitre d' was so uppity. I was there on a Thursday night at about 7:45 (no reservations) with two friends. The maitre d' refused to seat us notwithstanding the fact that several tables were open. He claimed that he had one reservation to fill for which he had to allow "another 15-20 minutes at least" and, if they didn't show, could seat us in 30 minutes. Nice pick – We're visiting from Chicago and had a recommendation for Adega. It did not disappoint. We sat in the wine bar, but had access to the full menu. Nice relaxed atmoshpere. GREAT servers. Good food. Worth the price. Nice work Adega.
Great bar seen, okay food. – I have been to Adega five times and do not know why. The service is fair and food okay. Nothing to brag about.
Worst Service I have ever Experienced – Service was terrible. The place had 3 couples and we waited 45 minutes to get our order taken. She never asked to refill our wine or ask if our food was o.k. She also forgot our silverware. After 15 minutes, we went to the bar to get silverware. The food was great, but the $100 bill was excessive for 2 people receiving bad service. I was excited about visiting this new wine bar/restaurant in Denver. However, I was truly disappointed upon leaving.
