My Favorite Place to eat – Although it seems like the early reviews weren't great, this place is fantastic. They have by far one of the best happy hours in town $5 glasses of wine (good wine too) and $3 tapas sized plates. I tend to split some with whoever I am there with and 3-4 usually fill you up. The food is absolutely amazing! They have a great deck for the summer time and the astetics of the bar are visually pleasing. The service is generally impecable. Only once did I have to wait and they were increadibly busy. After... read more
Love it so... – This place has the BEST happy hour. From 4-7 you can get the most delicious appetizers and wine for great prices. I recommend the Carmel Road Pinot. I'm never dissapointed by the service or the food. We go once a week and I look forward to it all week long. Definitely try the cappellaci di zucca.
I live in the neighborhood and Venice is my favorite place. The owners, Alesandro and Mario, are warm, friendly and inviting and thet seem to remember your name even after only couple visits. I' ve now been 4 times in a couple of months, and they greet us like we are old friends. The food is outstanding like my other favorite small restaurant in DTC (Chianti). I think they own more retaurants, but does not feel like a chain restaurant.. You get a lot of bang for your buck. Salads and few main courses are to die for (I love t... read more
Great atmosphere. – If you don't walk in expecting Adega, you will be pleased with what you find. Upscale & trendy without the former attitude. This is a fabulously romantic place with great lighting and wonderful music. Italian opera was playing while I was there. Magnifico!! Definitely worth a visit, for the fabulous wines alone!
Impeccable – This could have been one of the best dinner of my life... Service was impeccable, the food was phenominal. We ordred Carpaccio, insalata di pere, risotto and veal scaloppine, and everything was fantastic. The service was absolutely flawless, our waiter recomended a bottle of borolo which was absolutely perfect with the dishes.
Typical Poor Food and Wannabe Servers – Where's my Adega?! This sad representation of Italian food is an extreme let down. This doesn't come near Adega (the previous restaurant in the location). They make it look like a top level restaurant but its all looks and that's it. Sauces were okay but not great and the veal was tough. Rude service, cheap quality in food, and no where near Adega's standards. I know Denver wants its Adega back!
3 Visits and Counting – Personally, I really like this restaurant. It has a great wine list, authentic food and a great atmosphere. I have been there three times and plan to return for a fourth, fifth The service can take a while, but if you are not in a rush, want a great meal and dont mind spending a little on it, then this is a great place to visit.
Unbeliveably bad experience – Had a reservation for Saturday night and should have left when the waiter apologized before he took our order that the service was going to be really slow. Sat for 20 minutes before he came back to get our order, he discouraged us from several menu items because they would take even longer, 10 more minutes to get water and bread, 1 1/4 hour after being seated we paid for our wine and walked out since we had not even seen our appys yet.
Lipstick on a pig – Went to the Downt town location. Still has the look of the previous Adega. Thats where the similarities stop. Cold bland food. Pushy wait staff. I've had better meals at the Olive Garden... And I don't eat at the Olive Garden unless forced to. Still weeping over the loss of Adega.
