Poor customer service! Got a phone call CONFIRMING an appointment. When we came in with the dog the staff told us the appintoment was canceled! They made no effort to correct THEIR error! A 30 min drive and my poor dog did not get the medical attention he really really needed! If they can make an error on something As simple as an appointment I am scared to consider what other errors they would make! I will no longer trust my dogs at this establishment!!!

Business response:

We're very sorry to hear of the inconvenience that you describe as it does not align with our standards regarding honest, organized, and professional care. We apologize about any misunderstanding and would like to regain your trust. Please reach out to our hospital manager at Bernice.Fusco@vca.com. Sincerely, VCA Boston Road Animal Hospital

If you aren't wearing a law enforcement, animal control officer uniform- are not a police k9, don't have a credit card, debit or cash up front when you come in with a suffering animal, you and the pet/animal doesn't get past the front desk receptionist. You get greeted with a monotone attitude, the suffering animal isn't acknowledged but as soon as you verify you have the money- wow does the tone and facial expressions change- the receptionist then calls for an orderly and says something nice like- oh what a sweetheart, I ho... read more

The actual vet who put my Mother’s baby and my buddy to sleep was very very very nice and helpful I think her name is Dr. Christa Skribiski. The staff on the other hand, the tech who took him in was ok didn’t seem too friendly unless she was having a rough night, & the girl at front desk on left who took my payment , I feel should learn to be just a little more sensitive to customers (even if she pretends in future) , if she is going to keep working with sick & dying animals for a living just friendly advice . She acted as i... read more

Business response:

Denise, we want to first express our sincerest condolences to you about your loss. We are honored by your kind remark about Dr. Skribiski, though we're disheartened by the rest of what you describe. Please know that all of us are deeply committed to being compassionate and very sensitive in situations like this, and we're sorry if you came away with a different impression. Please email our hospital manager at Bernice.Fusco@vca.com so we can discuss this more with you. Sincerely, VCA Boston Road Animal Hospital

My dog got into medications and was in critical condition when I brought him in to VCA on Boston road. Since being there, he’s stabilized and seems to be on the road to recovery. Every tech knows his name and everyone is so positive, kind and knowledgeable. We really do feel like they’re part of our family and we are incredibly grateful for the professional quality our fur baby is receiving.

Business response:

Ariel, your dog is such a fighter, and we're honored to have gotten to know him. We're so happy that he's on the road to recovery, as we look forward to monitoring his improvement. Thank you for your wonderful words, and if you ever need anything else, please let us know.

Brought my Hiccup there Wednesday the 28th for a huge mass on her belly. The Dr did a cytology. ....said a couple days for the results and Doc would call as soon as they came back. Came back Saturday. ....here it is Monday.... spoken with someone 2 times already who promised the Dr would call me as soon as she's not busy with emergencies.....she's only doctor there....blah blah blah. ...meanwhile the mass is slowly getting bigger and I can't even get the results of a test I have already paid for in advance. This place is the... read more

Cost of care is outrageous and everything moved at a snails pace. $600 for an X-ray and fluids. Been here for over 4 hours and the last 3 hours I have been waiting for discharge. The hospital currently only has 2 dogs being seen so there is no godly reason it takes 3+ hours to discharge and pay. They staff has plenty of time to order take out food twice in 4 hours. Cannot recommend.

Business response:

Michael, we apologize about any extended wait, as we can assure you that such inconveniences are never our intention. Your feedback is important to us, and our staff would be grateful to further address your review at the earliest possible time. Kindly email our hospital manager at Katherine.Taverna@vca.com. Sincerely, VCA Boston Road Animal Hospital
