These people took great care of my cat! He has a long road of recovery ahead of him, but they were sweet, gentle and really seemed genuinely concerned about my cat, Myra. They called the next day to check on him and even sent all of his paperwork to the vet we said we were going to call for follow up care. I am so thankful to all of the great people there!

Business response:

Dianna, please know that we're here for your precious Myra every step of the way. Pet health is our number-one priority, and if you ever need anything, we're happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have. Thank you for sharing!

Had a cat emergency on Christmas Day. The staff were friendly, calm and efficient. No one seemed to mind that they were working on Christmas. Grateful that they were there.

Business response:

Laura, we're glad that we could be there for your precious cat on Christmas Day. Thank you for the nice words, and we hope that your pet is doing much better now. Thank you for posting your review.

Beagle mix 3 yrs old dry heaving, seen by tech. Waited two hours and no doctor. I was very disappointed in them. Their excuse was they were short staffed.. I work in a hospital and that is never an acceptable reason. It shouldn't be at VCA either. It was very unprofessional.

Business response:

Heather, we're saddened to read your review for the situation you describe does not coincide with the professionalism that we hold ourselves up to. If there is any way to regain your trust, please contact our hospital manager, Katherine.Taverna@vca.com, at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, VCA Boston Road Animal Hospital

Would've given 5 stars if not for our long wait. Took our 6 year old lab mix there for what ended up being leptospirosis. He was barely hanging on out in the waiting area. But the nurses and doctor were so patient and understanding with him. After 5 hours we had to put him to sleep. They were so sweet to my family (my three year old daughter was by his side to say goodbye and very upset) they were respectful of our decision and gave us the time and space we needed before continuing. They even worked with us on costs since we... read more

In the space of one week we had two dog disasters. The first was a diagnosis of a mast cell tumor on our 6 year old beagle Trixie. The second was a nasty dog bite for our 11 year old beagle Daisy. I rushed Daisy to Boston Road where they immediately took her into surgery to repair the bite wounds and put in drains. They were wonderful with her and with me, a shaking wreck after pulling another animal off my senior dog. Later that week Trixie was booked to have surgery on her tumor and the surgeon was so thorough he caught on... read more

Business response:

Kate, pet emergencies are never easy, especially two of them within a week! It pleases us to know we could provide compassionate, professional care during this stressful time. We are happy to hear your pet is feeling better, and appreciate you sharing your positive experience. Thank you!
