I brought my cat in 2 nights ago at 4:30 in the morning with a urethral blockage, and just brought him home tonight. The staff absolutely blew me away with their attentiveness and care. They called and texted me with updates 2-3 times a day, and every single staff member I interacted with was helpful and friendly. The care, as noted by others, probably was significantly overpriced, but a 24-hour facility costs more to run than a traditional animal hospital, and given that urethral blockages can be life-threatening, I'm so gl... read more
I called first and spoke with Caitlin ( I'm sorry if I spelled it wrong) I explained that I wasn't certain if it was time for my cat to be euthanized or if blood work needed to be done to see if he could be helped. They had a very busy waiting room but Caitlin arranged for a technician to come out and check his vital signs. With 1/2 he was BIENG looked at and within 1 hour I was told that he needs i.v. fluids. So here's our story of the VCA on Boston road in Springfield: Our dog jack was defecating mostly blood upon arriving at 11 pm yesterday, but it was a breath of relief that we were finally going to get him the help he needed, upon arriving I immediately showed them pictures of our dogs stool, which was no longer stool but blood. Very rude and unprofessional. If you don't like working later at night please don't do so... Animals are living things and need the best care as possible and if you or you vets can't do that then you need to be put to shame... My friends dog was bleeding and you just brushed it off like it wasn't an issue? Money is the only thing on your minds there and that's disgusting. You should be ashamed of your services last night.
Absolutely the best Vet care we have received moving to the state of Massachusetts .Our cat needed emergency surgery. Very professional . caring and attentive. I received many phone calls through out the day from the tech's to the surgeon as well as follow up call the next day.I was never rushed and all my questions were answered. Thank you for all your help with Rudy and we will be switching over to your regular vet doctors for the future.

Please don't ever take your pets here the doctor we saw yesterday was the rudest person ever she was disrespectful and gave no answers and then when I refused pain med for a pup that wasn't in pain she very rude it's all about the money not to mention when I asked for my pup back after we paid and I was told she was all set to go they wouldn't give her to me seriously held my pup hostage we went to another hospital in south Deerfield they were amazing to us and our little girl and we got answers not the run around
