I opened a Managed Vanguard Fund in January. It's been impossible to contact my "advisor". I finally decided to close the fund. I had to wait five days for them to contact me....then I'm told it will be up to another seven days before the closure can take place. Many phone calls have been a waste of time and contact with anyone, in order to explain the many problems, has been impossible.

Borderline criminal organization at worst, at best incompetent. The Target Date Fund impacts for taxable funds actions Vanguard took the end of 2021 drove huge tax liabilities for fund holders through vapor capital gains all from Vanguards mismanagement. Low cost funds due to no thought process. No action taken from their end to do the right thing up front or after their massive screw up. Low cost investments sounds great - not true as Vanguards lack of oversight will bite you anyway.

I wish I could leave 0 stars for the lousy customer service. This business is a scam. They make you wait on hold for hours then once they answer they act like they can't hear you and hang up. I mean this has happened to me multiple times. I've gotten a hold of one person that was able to cancel my account. I was told by this person that my withdrawn money would arrive in 7-10 business days. It is now a month out and I have yet to receive my money or an explanation. Terrible customer service I was on the phone for 5 hours and no one answered the phone then it told me they were closed, very poor customer service they don’t even deserve a 1 star, if I work at a place and there retirement company is vanguard I’d rather just quit just for that reason, if someone is retiring they would probably die first before they got there retirement money from this place Very poor customer service and company I don’t know how the bbb rated them at a A- it needs to be a F-

Great investment products - lousy, and I mean REALLY LOUSY customer service and website user interface and operability - they’ve “lost” my investment funds due to their horrible software engineering to the point that they’re launching an investigation. I’m about ready to notify the FBI regarding possible fraudulent operations … in this case, a more secure method of investing would be to bury my $$ in the backyard … I plan on withdrawing whatever funds I’m able to retrieve … stay away from Vanguard !

Vanguard’s telephone services need to follow through on their promises. It is rude and unlawful to tell customers that important documents would be mailed, and never mail. I requested a duplicate 1099-R on three separate occasions because the original copy could not be obtained due to a telephone change. If a telephone number has been changed it is impossible to obtain a code to obtain any information. Secondly, every year around tax time I have experienced the same situation time and time again. I called Vanguard customer service more than 5 times now and the wait times are so long that I have to hang up the phone when their business closes at 5PM Pacific Time. I have been trying for twos months to transfer my 401K account to my bank at which they said they mailed a check for $120K to me. I am still waiting after several weeks and have not seen this check. Where is my money???
